Freespirit oh no! that blooming pesky nerve again aaarrgh!!! Even so you managed today's challenges, you really are a superstar. Which documentary did you watch ? xxx
Thanks for asking my lovelies, had a great catch up this morning with our lovely neighbours, administered special Nanamia TLC, cakes, coffee and a lots of chuckling. Then this evening DH of one of this mornings visitors popped over cos he'd missed the cakes haha so a good day all in all. Gutted this morning though after being strict with myself all week I managed to put 2lb on, it's a total mystery unless it's my "star" week ! Only time will tell. xxx
Haha i dont want to offend people on here, it was a religious one, suffice to say they had lost me after a few minutes, but i did persevere, DS and DD1 said why didnt you go on Lovefilm and choose one on there like an animal one, duh i never thought of that just found the first programme that said documentary :rotfl:Glad you had a lovely morning, how was your DN bearing up? Be kind to yourself and forget it and carry on this week, it will soon be back off xOwn_My_Own wrote: »Freespirit the strangest thing happened this evening. I was showing dd the really old cartoon app, and I clicked on a Christmas cartoon from the 1930's. Well I guess it was from around then as it had a Charlie Chaplin toy in it.
And I knew every word of it and what was going to happen next.
I asked both the kids if they had ever seen it and they both laughed and said no. And I suppose it's not the time of cartoon they would show on TV now, and I don't actually remember ever watching it before either. So now I'm wondering if I watched it when I was a kid and it just got stuck in my memory. Of all the things to remember. A crackly old Christmas cartoon. :rotfl:
Ah OMO isnt it weird, how we suddenly recognise things, i think that is how i blocked a lot out by being absorbed with television, famous five books anything that i could just lose myself in. How you knew every word is some going, you will have to keep that one x

So car failed it's mot, I genuinely didn't know how it was going to go, but what it has failed on is totally justified it has a broken spring on the front of the car :eek::eek: so it is going in tomorrow and is costing £80 so not too bad really
As for bargains in Tesco got a few bits of bargain chocolate and a tnx for Dad's tobacco as he'd broken his wooden chest, and a Starbucks coffee canister with coffee in one for us and for a friend as part of her birthday present was aiming for chocolate but she'll enjoy the coffee more.
Baking is planned for today and maybe soup making need to save some money and I enjoy it.
Love and hugs to all xxx xxx0 -

Sorry your car failed its MOT, but at least it's not too expensive to fix! I'm glad other people are snapping up the bargains in Tesco too, get them while they're hot!
This baking you're planning, it wouldn't happen to fit in a letterbox-sized parcel would it...?0 -

Hi all, I am a grump- it is official-- my friend has got a pup. No big deal? well, I hope I am wrong, but she gave the last one (2 yrs ago) to her mother cos it was too demanding, and at the moment she can hardly afford to feed herself and her son and pay her bills, is having difficulty arranging childcare when she works at the weekend, so I told her she was daft. (It is actually none of my business, but the old pokey-nose syndrome la la la .)
Had a look in our boots this morning to see if the 75% day tomorrow would be worth going to, but the shelves are almost empty.
Nanamia, glad the coffee and cakes went well, I amoff to DSILs in a while to see DGN&N also coffee-(posh, she got a coffee wizzie thing off santa) will take shortbread biscuits with me, as the littlie loves them.
OMO that is so 'strange' wow, makes the hairs on your neck stand up.
Freespirit hope the nerve pain settles down, and that todays challenges get done. You are doing great.
Amey-Turtle shame about the MOT, but as you say, the cost to fix isn't tooooo bad. Mine needs booked in to garage for a look at underneath, as it makes a nasty, expensive sounding noise when I go over a speed hump.
On the good things side, Insurance assessor is coming on Thursday morning, and the supplier is sending a new innertube for DGS1's scooter, and Nev the shredder came yesterday and got a load of the trees stuff done. xx0 -

Now all you need are a couple of servants and a bottle of something that needs pouring over ice so you can have an excuse to use it!0 -
Afternoon everyone, hope everyone is ok, i am fuming, i got a letter from KHs (that is what everyone seems to use for exH and it suits mine totally) accountant saying that if i didnt hurry up and give details for tax return for apr 13 they wont be able to get it done for 31st jan and i will get fined by tax people :mad::mad::mad::mad: a) i dont work b) why not send this letter apr 13 when it was bloody due so i am absolutely having kittens (you know what im like) i am so annoyed it is all because they had me down as KH business partner for some reason i dont understand until we split, but they never offered me any support or information at the time, it was just all about him grr sorry for rant had to get it off my chest, needless to say DS is going to sort it for me i just cant pick the phone up it has got to me so much.
NANAMIA ha that has made me giggle, knowing DS that wouldnt surprise me :rotfl:
ARTHIEN oh thanks for that it is lovely, but i just did a :money:and thought do i need it and the answer is NO :rotfl:
AMEY oh how annoying, glad its a manageable amount to get it fixed, i have just made banana muffins again to use up the last two bananas, did you manage to make something?
MRSINVISIBLE no you are not a grump, you are just seeing the facts of what happened last time, being able to afford to have a pet etc in my eyes being a real friend. I would rather people told me instead of just letting me make more mistakes. As long as i take tablets its not too bad atm just seems worse in the morning. Glad you finally have the assessors coming out at last#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0
