Nanamia I haven't found anything worth buying in the sales for2014.l put a lot of thought into the gifts I give I suppose I must be to fussy as well. I keep a record of the last two years of gifts given that way I don't buy the same thing twice.
Ok off to catch up, then hopefully sleep!

  • Pigpen - what a gorgeous little cutie you have there. :)

OMO - love yesterdays quote. :T Congrats on badge :T

Nanamia - me stitching was supposed to be our secret ;) First time I've had it out since NYD. Don't know whether I will get a chance to do any today as I'm at the hairdressers this morning for haircut and highlights and wont get back until early pm.

Mum talks to her brother in Oz each weekend (free to call certain international countries and mobiles with Post Office on weekends) and they always have a temperature check each weekend. :rotfl: Last weekend he was in the forties and I had just walked down to Mum's with a very thick white frost and bbc weather app said it was 3 degs. Mind you I am not too keen on extreme temperatures either way.

Well getting ready to pop down to Mum's for a coffee and call for the papers.

Hope you all have a great day.

PS Feisty - where are you? Hope you are both ok.

    Morning all,
We had good news yesterday charlie [the dog] probably wont need an operation as his knees have stabilized a bit , he just needs to lose a few pounds now . the vet proceeded to tell us off as he has gained 2lbs in the last month frankly im surprised its not more as we were told not to take him out for the past month he has had no exercise at all !

Christmas prep is plodding along Ive used my Topcashback to get another series of Simpsons for dd, ive also ordered personalized stockings for dd & OH.
After being lazy and buying my crackers last year im going back to making my own , the bought ones weren't cheap but were a let down non the less.

Im managing better than i thought with my injections but im waking up with blazing headaches every morning i only hope they ease off in a week or so.
hope you all have a great day.

Just to say thanks for the dotcom Christmas bag tip, I ordered two and they came yesterday. They are very jolly and a fantastic size. I WILL get our Christmas boxes properly sorted out this weekend, out of the box room and back up into the attic.

I did whizz into Wilkinsons a couple of day ago after reading on here, and picked up a few Christmas bargins, so thanks again for that tipoff.

Keeping up with all your news and love hearing it; whenever I get a chance I love reading about you all, I'm just not very good at remembering everything to refer back to. Loved Sir Charlie Stinky Socks (one of my ds favourite books) and little Pigpen pictures.
Cheering on JJ, hearing of your new romance is great.

Giving virtual hugs to those who need them.

  • Sounds like everyone has the same plans for this weekend!

I have also got to get the big pile of Christmas stuff sorted into their boxes and up into the attic! It all got taken down efficiently and 'neatly' put in the corner of my room, but there it has stayed... Lol

My OH came home from work with a good sized box specifically to put it all in :T

I was shocked, he doesn't really ever think of anyone/anything but himself. The pile must really be annoying him :rotfl:
    Christmas Crazy :rotfl:

Love de-cluttering, to the point I don't really own much anymore. :rotfl:

2014 IS going to be a good year :j
  • Good morning, it isn't raining...... honest! the wind has dropped, is this the calm before the storm, or has it really gone? I have no need to run a hot wash on my machine, as DDIL ALWAYS uses the recommended wash for each blooming wash!
  • I had to post that separately as I couldn't get it to stop underlining, I am so un IT minded its daft. I still haven't bought anything for next Christmas in the sales, is there a dearth of bargains near chez invis? or am I skint? could be both.
Took friend to a posh beauty spa yesterday, as they had offered her some work there, her interview included her giving the boss a back massage, and her first shift is tomorrow! so tonight she is going to do a timed facial and back massage on me, for practice. Well, I suppose I'll just have to do it that's what friends are for, (lol)
Loads of hugs going out, grab one as they pass, plenty for everyone, I have to go to M&S to pick up a clock and a cake tin - (eclectic shopper, me!) that I ordered. Then it is the dreaded housework, and I still haven't heard from the insurers assessor, grrrrrrrowl bite bite.

Nanamia There is a quote for everything.

Pigpen My Nan use to ask me questions when I felt like you, so I am going to ask you the same ones. Please post your answers :)

    1) if the ironing isn't done today, whose going to die ?
    2) if the lounge isn't dusted today, whose going to die ?
    3) if the beds aren't made or changed today, whose going to die ?
    4) if the floors aren't hoovered and mopped today, whose going to die ?

    And finally, repeat after me

My kids aren't making a mess, they are making memories :D
