Thanks for all your comments re DS. He had a fab day at school.

Ordered a tablet computer today for DD's bday. Reduced from £59.99 to £29.99! One of the girls in work said her DS has it and it's brill for playing games which is all DD will do on it. I can't post a link but if you search for 7" Allwinner tablet on Amazon it comes up. :)

Ah ARTHIEN AND NANAMIA that is it then i always do 30 degree washes (to save the environment ;)) i will run it on a hot wash with soda and vinegar tonight, thankyou

NANAMIA our village always suffers in the floods, luckily we are actually higher up but to get in and out of the village is the problem and we are surrounded by fields, they did a lot of work a few years ago to prevent it but it still comes up, yes i have heard mentions of snow but not sure if it is this far down

freespirit try running your washing machine on the hottest longest wash cycle (some machines have a self clean cycle)but don't put any soap powder in this allows it to clear out any build up & usually solves the problem. also worth checking if the filters are blocked.

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

With our washing machine, I have to clean the drawer every so often. I soak it in soapy water with added bleach then approx twice a year I use a jug to pour this water down the hole where the drawer was- don't forget to shut the door first. Works best if you can get a bottle brush in there then give it a scrub. Then pop soda crystals in the drawer and put a hot wash on.
I also like to do sheets, cloths and towels at 60 long wash at least every other time. Partly to kill germs and partly to keep washing machine clean. Used to quick wash at 40 all the time and it did get grotty quicker. Not using fabric softener helps but I hate the static you get on clothes if you don't use any.

OMO glad MSE towers have recognised your talents:beer:
I have reserved the Fisher Price wheelies and loops amusement park for DS2's 2nd Christmas (thanks for spotting this deal) and also noticed the Fisher Price Roll and go get away garage which is half price http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9154706.htm
getting this for DS1's 3rd birthday. I've sent one garage to charity this week, had it two years and not as robust as the Fisher Price ones, and another has gone in the bin. (Christmas gift from mum's neighbour and was quickly destroyed- poor quality) Collecting tomorrow, will store at Mum's :-)
Also noticed online that Fisher Price Wheelies cars are £1 each at Smyths toy stores. They are excellent quality, we have a few from airport and a Batcave playset.
