  • Pixtotts thinking of you and sending a virtual hug. JJ YAAY, keep on in there, glad you are home.
Havent posted in a day or 3, but have been busy wrapping presents, at least l have almost finished the adults, and have begun on the grandnibs, (l also wrap for DD and DS2 as they cant use hands properly) so that's a lot of wrapping.)
Confession time....... l slept in and DGS was 10 mins late for school. (hangs head in shame) in my defence l was awake for about 3 hours in the early hours, then, when l did get over l was papering the ceiling!!!!!
Right, now l must put these pressies away and go for some groceries, or no-one will eat tonight.

    Hello you lovely lot.

I am indeed home as of last night :). I got in kind of wrong the procedure I had I got the results mixed up hehe. I do have a narrowed artery in the back of my head not my neck. So they are having a meeting to discuss putting in a stent to widen it but apparently its a bit of a painful surgery and long recovery but I like a challenge :). My discharge form states that my ICP (intercranial pressure) Spikes during the night so they then done a sleep study and I will find results of these things during an outpatient appointment.

Thanks for all your love and messages!
Looking forward to having the stitches out of Freds hole!

JJ & Fred have divorced :j:j not only that, she is home:j:j

Great news. I was going to visit again if she was still there on Monday when I next in Central London. Much better that she's home, though.
Sigh, thought I had the perfect pressie for my sister but it's just too expensive.

What do you want to get? Maybe we can help get it within budget for you?

I think Christmas is off here this year, Monday night my gran had a fall, we had an ambulance out but they could find nothing wrong with her, but she'd suddenly gone from nothing to 2 falls in a week. Tuesday mum took her to the Doctors, they found the cause of the falls, low blood pressure, so they changed her tablets up and mum moved in with her.Wed morning her osteoporosis took effect, she can't lift her head from her chest now. They gave it until yesterday for the change in tablets to take effect, the doctor was coming to decide if she needed to go to hospital or not, he said she could go into hospital but she wouldn't come back out, and what with the diseases in there it would probably just kill her quicker. They wont say how long, we don't know if were looking at days, or weeks, or months.
In 2 months shes gone from someone ok couldn't get around great (osteoporosis and a old injury), but living alone, and cooking her own meals, to mum making her meals, then in a couple days to someone who can't get up from a chair or lift their own head.

The hardest thing is my mum is preparing for months, she's preparing for the long haul, but I think weeks is more realistic.
My family have a bad track record with Christmas, 4th Dec, 20th Dec, Christmas day, right after the fireworks New Years Day. when I told my sister she said as long as she doesn't die at Christmas, I told her to get a grip and be realistic lol.

I however have agreed to take part in a couple secret santas, and a decoration swap, so Christmas continues here. I'm hoping to get my hands on a pyrography kit, they have just come back in stock on hobbycraft online, but I'm going to try my luck in store today before I order it online, can't be doing with the waiting up to a week!

I'm so sorry. It must be such a shock when it comes from nowhere like that. If there's anything we can do, we're always here.

Apologies for any spelling mistakes. Typing with a stylus whilst wearing mittens!!! Got Vaseline all over my hands as my skin is sore & cracking between my fingers. Oh, anyone know where Terry's choc orange (dark ones) are £1? Apparently hubby HAS to have one in his stocking.
