GettingThereQuickly – how frustrating for JJ. Thank you for keeping us updated though. I think cakes taste lovely whatever shapethey are so I’d go for it if I were you (and if I could bake of course).

    McCulloch, love the rhyme.

Bertha, I love the JL advert – apparently it’s going to beon in full tonight in the break in Gogglebox about 9 o’clock. I don’t normally watch it but I’ll try andremember to check in tonight.

Mrs G, loving the elf door.

Been to B&M again today and got some more bits. Bought a nice box of silver luxury crackers for £2.99 - will open them up and change the gifts inside then do them back up and have them as place names for the Christmas table. We were going to go out for dinner on Christmas day but after lots of discussion about the available menu when we went to book they were already full! Dinner at ours it is then :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • JJ has to wait at home on Wednesday when the hospital will hopefully confirm time of bed for her. At least she will be waiting in comfort of own home rather than stressing & wondering in London.

freespirit66 - not guilty this time but now I'm watching them!!

Re John Lewis ad - I like it but it's not the best.... but weirdly, last weekend when I was ill I made my friend watch last years spy in the huddle programs, and last night I was listening to Tom Odell and came across his cover of real love for the first time... spooky.

That was me :) Glad to hear more people are spreading the smiles :) I've actually just sat and finished wrapping up my Elf gifts to 4 pals for them for December. Wrote their cards to them and their siblings and parents too. Have been working my way through the list on the website to try and get a card sent to everyone. Kids have been helping with that too :)

I can't speak for the True christmas channel as I don't get that one, but I do recommend the Christmas 24 one. We get that one lol.
My problem last year was I got too involved in it and very little done pmsl. So this year I'm recording films. A lot of them are ones that haven't been heard of and are new, but that's what I like about them. I'd definitely recommend Secret Santa, The Santa Suit, A Christmas Wish and Christmas in Wonderland. I do have the last 2 on DVD though, which weren't easy to find may I add :(
There's another 2 films that I stupidly accidently deleted last year before getting to see them through. One about Christmas Eve and one with Macaulay Culkin in it. So I keep checking the programme guide to see if I can find them.

Grrrr! Post disappeared while I went to find a link in another window. Just wanted to say I watched A Christmas Wish this afternoon and it's a lovely film. It was on more>movies but had the wrong description in the Sky planner. It's this film: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Christmas-Wish-DVD-Brian-Krause/dp/B00M97DQJE
It's festive and Christmassy without all the Santa/lights/reindeer/elf stuff. Worth a watch! Thanks Irishrose (assuming that I was watching the film you recommended. There seems to be a few films with that title)
