hello please can I come back!

    huge congratulations freespirit:j:j

well alot has happened since I was here last year...

I have recovered from my diagnosis of pre diabetes and lowered my blood glucose levels from 46 to 34 which I am over the moon about. I have worked out what I can eat and what I can't and now eat a low carb diet. I have lost 2 stone 1lb and am now under 8 stone.

I also have a new job...dinner lady at a local primary school.

Anyway back to Christmas...after handing his notice in summer 2013 (after a long spell on the sick with depression) he is now working as a supply teacher. He is so much happier but has taken a huge reduction in salary so money is quite tight. Both boys have had school/scout trips this year so Christmas presents will be low key. I am doing them both (and OH) a movie/treats hamper. All other family presents will be hampers which are mostly done.

I am looking forward to being back on here and joining in with the chat!

Aww congratulations Freespirit!!!! He's a wee dote!

Back from the dentist so one side of my face feels all funny. Drinking my tea was interesting:eek: Ended up going and getting one of the kids straws to drink it:o
Got 2 fillings, and dentist recommended a further 9:eek: One is definitely needed the rest are only precautionary and aren't important but can save me more hassle in the future. Total cost will be about £160, which £50 was paid today.

Will do dental visits each term when I'm off work, can get children looked after and have the money! To be totally honest I was expecting it to be a lot more than what it was. And The dentist was lovely, and it didn't even hurt a bit :)
Which is why I have decided to go ahead and get everything she recommended done while I'm not in pain and it will save me problems in the future hopefully.

Now have had some sort of a lunch I'll pop into town to Boots and get some christmas gifts in at the points event, call into Primark and also pick a few bits and pieces up for the Halloween party tomorrow :)
