    HI all,

I am having a bit of a nightmare. I was sat at dining table yesterday working away on laptop, and then posted on here that I was off for shower then watching "Nan". I turned laptop off, and got up and somehow got foot caught in the table leg and fell on the floor with foot twisted (as I was trying not to fall into glass cabinet or glass table so I landed funny)

Husband was laughing till he had tears down his face.

It was a total Mr Bean comedy injury but OMG it hurts. :o

Foot has swollen and is various shades of purple. Been in agony all night and Hubby took me to A&E this morning cos I can barely walk.

Its not broken or fractured, just badly bruised, so need to keep it elevated, and rested and take painkillers.

I am working from home tomorrow (cleared it with my boss, cos otherwise I would have to be off sick).

My biggest concern is that the biopsy I am having on Tuesday Morning (which is scary enough) is actually on my foot. :(

I am not cancelling it but they will think I am a right weirdo when I tell them how I did it, or I guess they may even decide not to do it once they see my black and blue foot. Not sure :(

Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D

Ruth_Honey - Loved Nativity1 and 2 - Both equally as good as each other IMO.

Blueeyedgirl - Yep "Nan" was the Catherine Tate thing, I found it hilarious but it might not be to everyones taste

Freespirit66 - Still loving your daily challenges. I hope you don't mind but I keep copying the red bit into a word document for me, as its helping me also. Please thank your son.

Maze ball people - I bought my brother (47) one last year as part of his xmas pressie. He loved it but so did my nephew and DD and DS. It spent the whole christmas day being passed around each other and it was more of a hit with my kids than the expensive bits they had received that morning. So... basically any age guide on it is irrelevant. Kids will love it, and adults will love it. :)

  • CHRISSYG - thanks for the heads up on the toothbrush. Checked with the menfolk this morning and they both reckoned the ones they had were working fine and didn't need replacing. Guess who will probably be complaining about toothbrushes not holding charge in a few weeks time.

BBTHREE - hope your foot isn't too painful now. How easy these things happen. Good luck for Tuesday - hope all goes well for you.

Freespirit - well done you ;) Go girl go.

Well the deep clean of the bedroom took place this morning. Furniture all pulled out, new tv bracket fitted and lovely clean bedding. Nothing beats the feeling of getting into a lovely freshly made up made imo.

Just about ready to settle down for tea - hubby has made a goats cheese and sundried tomato quiche - it smells gorgeous. Then I think I will settle down to watch DOI. Had intended rewarding myself with an afternoon of stitchyness but sadly that didn't happen as I did some ironing - can you see my halo shining brightly. :D

Well take care everyone and I will catch up with you all later.

I'm going to give dd the maze ball for her birthday so no idea but read reviews who say its for all rhe family and everyone will be equally frustrated x

I have one!! :) ... well think we've had 2, i had one which went missing (somewhere in the loft) so we got little sister one more recently.
They are brilliant! And definitely for all the family, Adults and Children will love them and be equally frustrated, it isn't hard as in difficult it's just grr lol, you know what you need to do and you know you can do it but it needs such a steady hand which is what makes it so tricky. But so fun too. x

Freespirit - Ooh I do love your challenges! Keep up the good work :)

BBTHREE - OUCH! Hope your husband is now running round after you instead of laughing :P and that it's feeling better soon. Take it easy. x

Christmas has gone :'( the tree went on the bonfire this morning, and everything is boxed up :(

Does anyone know where I can get cheap brown parcel wrapping paper? I fancy theming my wrapping this year with this stuff as I always feel my wrapped pressies let me down :(

I use a lot for ebay sales and art stuff :)... Avoid whsmiths they are expensive and last lot was quite thin :/ , um wilkos, poundshop (smaller rolls though), the range, staples ( more money but HUGE roll).

To those looking to lose a few or more pounds, can I suggest saving your money & joining My fitness pal instead. It's free, you can log food & there are challenges where you can weigh in weekly online so still get the benefit of motivation without the cost or the embarrassment of going to to a class

I lost 103lbs (yes really) after my son was born by just being really silly & not eating or exercising, I got thin but I had malnutrition & was skinny fat, thin but flabby, naturally I started to put it back (70lbs worth) but after being on MFP for a couple of years & some yo-yoing & workig on my head & ideas about food, I have completly re-educated myself towards food & working out & have so far lost 31lb in 6 months, using this tool.

I take breaks, I have a few gains (3lbs or so) over certain times but this is the first time in decades that I have not gained weight over christmas at all. I haven't been to the gym in 6 weeks & I have eaten what I want but in sensible quantities. In the past I would have put on at least a stone in December.

I know I sound like an advert but the website promotes sensible eating, not a diet but a readjustment to your life & your idea of food. I have alot of friends on there who are like me, 70lb+ losses & most of them have met their goal & are managing to maintain & they still post every day, still log their food & exercise & get real support.

I did WW, SW, Atkins, soup diet, you name it, I did it but this is the first time since getting fat in my late 20's that I actually feel different, like something switched on in my head.

Anyway, enough yabbering about it, just thought I'd let you know it was there and free. This is MSE afetr all :D

I cannot agree with this enough! I have the app so can just scan the barcode of things on my phone and it figures it all out :) I'm not currently using it as the moment as drowning in chocolate, but will probably get back into it next month :)

Do you have a facebook page for your cakes? I know that a lot of local bakers do really well with theres as it allows people to view their items in the comfort of their home and contact you by message if they want :)

BBThree you poor thing :( I hope it heals quickly!

Nana, DH is feeling a lot better thank you :) We've had a chat, and he is going to return to work next month :j still far from better (and with an op still to do) but his sick pay will run out in May, and he has improved a tiny bit and we really need the cash.
