Feisty I feel your pain. I can not keep our utility room clean as the dog goes out here to the garden and we come in here after our walk. Even though I clean his feet I still have feet prints. Mr Marco is not as good at cleaning feet. What a good idea about magicmagpie must have a look tomorrow. Good Luck with the sale and we can keep each other motivated. We are going for it to be on the market for the 23rd of Feb.
Lizzie Good Luck with your move. Join in with the motivation!!!!

Feisty forgot to say that I had got to week 16 with the 52 week challenge but with Christmas I had given up. I still have the money saved but have decided to start from week one again.

Well I have had a post xmas miracle - Kids and hubby came back in just as Nativity2 started.

Instead of hubby whinging or turning it off he sat down and watched and enjoyed it. : )

Got some more work done and now I am logging off and going to have a shower and get settled to watch "Nan".
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D

I started to watch Nativity again this morning. Fell asleep after about 20 minutes and woke up as the credits started...! Got the second film to watch on LoveFilm, so pleased you enjoyed it.

    Good evening all

Popped into Tesco today and found some chocolate £50 notes with 2015 expiry dates for 40p - am aiming to cross stitch bookmarks with my Sunday School class's names on to go with them then that's another set of presents ticked off (although I count them as one rather than individually at Chrismas). They also had USB sticks reduced to £1 for 2GB and £3 for 8GB so I bought some for birthdays and stocking fillers. Plan to follow the advice on here and wrap as I go so my goal for this week is to wrap everything I have allocated so far.

All the decorations have come down but I noticed a strange smell when I was putting them away in the garage. When the storage drawers were moved the wall was wet - getting the garage wall sorted has now moved to the top of the list!

Hugs to all who need them. I hope no-one is badly affected by the weather.

Our recycling won't take shredded paper. Apparently it clogs up their machines.
But then that just about sums our council up. Our paper recycling bins came with no lids. You can just imagine the streets on recycling day when it's windy.

OMO ours are the same, i always feel guilty putting shredding in the normal bin

Hiya lovelies I've missed so much :( I'm never going to catch up on the last week so will start afresh. Can't believe I've missed Fingers birthday. Photos Sunday please Linky preferably during the carnage to make me feel better about my chaos!
How wonderful to see so many delurkers/ newbies :) I think you are going to love it here, I know I do. X
Freespirit what can I say! you are a blooming superstar, and that DS is a marvel :) Fiesty is right it's truly an amazing pack he's put together. I'm knackered just reading it :) xxx
Mrsinvisible hope the nasty weather has been kind to your garden. I'm not sure when the China contingent are going home, hope you've thoroughly enjoyed every second with them xxx
On the festive front I'm holding out a little longer with my decorations, I can't bear to take them down yet. I will keep Christmas going, just a few more days. I've bought not a single thing in the sales. I am being particularly choosy this year :) I've not even started my lists, I have however spent time with my family and friends- plenty of time. I have a to-do-list which I must chip away at, think I've just been having a little too much fun haha. DGD2 starts nursery on Monday so big changes ahead. xxx

Oh NANAMIA i was getting a little worried about you but glad you have been having fun, good for you, its what we should all be able to do, spend time with friends and family, ah bless DGD2 hope she has fun! People round here seem to have decs up longer this year i have noticed, i cant stand it i have to have it all down before NYD, the kids came home from work on Monday and went 'Oh christmas is over in here then' mind you about half an hour after they had got home!!! Thankyou about DS you should see how much effort he has put in, that is why i cant let him down :D

Wanted to say hello to you all. I haven't been sleeping well recently, lots on my mind which will probably tell you all about during the year but too much to say right now. I've been catching up on jobs to do and reading my favourite thread.
I love Freespirit's challenges which are inspiring and thanks for also posting the writing in red - I've copied and saved that for me to look at.
Well my DH has been feeling very ill and developed a strange blister on his back New Year's day so finally persuaded him to go to the doctor's yesterday. He is really hard to drag to doctor's so sign he knew something really wasn't at all right. Turns out he's got shingles so now he's on anti-virals to hopefully limit the attack.
Both my dd and ds haven't had chickenpox so there's a risk that they could come down with it, so I'm crossing my fingers and toes that doesn't happen as I really want them to start back at school and nursery without sickness as we've had such a bad run pre-Christmas.
Finally gave the last Christmas present to a relative on NYD so now reclaimed the present cupboard space to start afresh.
We are going to take the tree and decs down on Sunday and then it will be on with the new year for us.
Thanks for the sw coupon tip, I got Woman at the supermarket yesterday and might join up next week.

Aah thankyou, i hope it helps in some little way, oh your poor DH what a horrid way to start new year, i have never had it but i have been told how painful it is, hope it goes as quick as possible x

3FORHOLIDAYS landfill collection every 3 weeks  eek i hope that doesnt become a national thing

On the subject of bin collection, it was just on the news that the government are telling councils they need to collect bins every week not fortnightly.
Ours rubbish and food waste are taken weekly. Then paper one week, plastic and tin the next. Anything else has to be taken to the tip.
Also just saw the BBC are making a one off ' Only Fools and Horses ' this year.:D

Only Fools and Horses :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:yayy i love that, i nearly went into labour laughing so much at one episode, it was the one where Damian had just been born, and they asked what it was and Del Boy :rotfl:was in such a state of shock he replied 'its a baby' :rotfl:

Aww love the pillow pals they look gorgeous
