managed to get a ted baker gift set that dd was hinting about from boots 1/2 price will keep and eye open for the 75% sale off but not much stock left locally so not holding out much hope of any real bargains.
debating about wether or not to just grab some of the small sanctury sets while they have them at 1/2 price or wait on the off chance there will be any left?
cant believe how busy the supermarkets still it was busier today then in the run up to xmas  not as if theres any real bargins to be had either as all the xmas stock/reductions are gone
ds has actually gone to sleep :j:j so I'm gonna try and get an early night tc
Just had a peak at the Boots thread ( can't do it often, it drives me mad) but they are saying it may only be 70% off this year.0 -
Evening all. Blimey i've had a hectic few days. Yesterday I sorted out the spare room as it seems as if the decorations were just thrown in there. Looked a festive bomb had gone off! lol. All packed away nice and neatly now! I use the room as our stock room. I have toilet rolls, toiletries and towels in there! No sale presents here
I just havent been anywhere to get anything! going out tomorrow so might be able to get a few bits. Only popping to Tesco, Morrisons, dunelm mill and B&Q so i dont know what I'm expecting to find :rotfl:
Good night all! off to have a cuppa and a browse of Amazon to add things to my wish listsxx
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

Evening everyone, todays challenges completed:
Happiness can come from feeding your brain with Dopamine, Serotonin, Oxytocin and Endorphins. There needs to be a healthy balance of these, as too much of one can result in negative effects. Dopamine comes from succeeding and meeting your needs, or gaining accomplishments. This can easily be achieved by completing these challenges. Seratonin flows when you feel important. You lose this feeling when you have negative thoughts. Always remember that people respect you behind your back, and they are not all out to get you. Always remember how useful you are as a mother! Oxytocin is gained from the feeling of trust, this comes from socialising with someone you trust, and building trust with others. Finally, endorphins is the euphoria that happens when you exceed your limits, most commonly through exercise. Exceeding your limits will help relieve your depression.
1. Complete the daily Sudoku challenge
2. Complete your thoughts today sheet
3. Fill out the What makes you happy sheet
4. Release some endorphins by completing 1/2 hour on Wii Fit#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Hi everyone!
Happy Birthdays to Blackcat and Robbie, hope you've both had good daysxxx.
Had quite a busy day. Took Mum to Mr T's this morning. I don't really enjoy supermarket shopping, and would gladly do it all on line and have it delivered, but Mum insists on going to the actual shop. I don't think she trusts a computer to get her shopping right!
Then went to visit some friends who we hadn't seen over Xmas, and stayed to play with their eldest daughter for a while. She is nearly 4, so was excitedly telling us about Father Christmas and her presents!
Then took DD to the shops, she wanted some underbed storage boxes, to organise her large collection of fancy throws and blankets. If she leaves them out in her room, the cats will sleeep on them ( and they are pampered quite enough , thank you ! ).
Finally I took down some more of the decorations and packed them away. Just the 2 trees to do now, and put out for the scouts to collect. They run a tree collection service every year for a small donation. It is very handy, saves us having to dispose of them.
Hope to have all Xmas things packed away by the end of Saturday, leaving me free on Sunday to think of what we need to pack for Paris. I am working Mon - Wed, and we fly on Thursday, so not much time!
Just remembered - made a cheese and onion pie yesterday for tea, and made half a dozen jam tarts with the pastry trimmings. Does anyone else do this? My Mum always did if she had any pastry bits left over, waste not want not.
As I said, busy day, tired now. Sleep tight everyone xxx0 -

Our recycling won't take shredded paper. Apparently it clogs up their machines.
But then that just about sums our council up. Our paper recycling bins came with no lids. You can just imagine the streets on recycling day when it's windy. :mad:0 -

All our paper/cardboard stuff has to be unbagged in the bin except for shredded which has to be in a bag. Our recycle bins have lids but they are so light and flimsy they are worse than useless.
Let's see how many bags of clothes can be filled for charity shop in the next phase of the decluttering challenge.
