Hi,
Hmm stick insects,we had some when I worked at a school,I couldn't tell if they were alive or dead, they don't do much. DD1 was given some and brought them home in a jam jar. I made her take them back the next morning. Evil Mother.;)
I have had a lovely day,I have been out with a very old friend, not that she's old,we have been friends 45years.Well actually that does make us very old.
Another friend of mine has part share in a gallery which is housed in barns on a farm with lots of other lovely little shops. We had a drive out there and had a lovely coffee and Turkish Delight ice cream. Then on to nearest market town and a mooch round the shops.
I bought DD2 a Tee shirt from the chazza, and my friend bought a china cabinet at my insistence! We have plans to paper the back on the inside and paint the wooden bits.Oh I also bought an old glass sweetie jar. like the ones in proper old sweet shops.WHY??????????? I am trying to get rid of stuff so that we can be ready to move at the drop of a hat.
Tonight I have made up my doggy bags for the Christmas fair.Photo to follow.
It was 21 degrees this afternoon,It's October! There is holly on the back lane here and I have never seen it so full of berries...ever. They say that means a bad winter:p suits me,I like snow, particularly when I have done all my Christmas shopping and don't have to go out.
Have a nice weekend everybody,particularly poorly people.Vxx:0 -

I made the sleighs last year as wee xmas additions, I would gauge the age. Mine weren't fussed. Whereas they were delighted with rhe Xmas cups the year before

Hi all,
Sorry I have been absent. Been decorating my newly plastered living room. Carpet was fitted yesterday, new mirror and heart shelf was put up along with new curtain pole. It looks lovely! Just need some new throws and cushions and touch a bit of paint and its done! Bought alot of special christmas cards last week whilst I was out shopping. We ordered 4 yr old daughter a tablet computer but hubby wasnt happy with it when it arrived so its gone back. Thats all we have got left to get her and then She just needs her new outfit for christmas day x
Bought hubby a couple of bits and finished the nephews presents thanks to a reduced teenage mutant ninja turtles game from halfcost.0 -
Have managed to (almost) sort another present out :j I was looking for a bargain on a personalised photo calendar to give to my brother when I saw a groupon email for one for a fiver plus postage, so I've snapped that up and will find a rainy weekend to trawl through piccys.
I've also had the email from amazon to get an extra £5 gift card free when you buy a £20 one. Tempted to top up to Xmas fund... you have to spend the £5 in November but that shouldn't be a problem0 -
jus had this email from yankee - nice alternative for someone who doesn't like or can't eat chocolate
