Off into town later. Our shops don't open until 1pm here so means I can still have a lazy morning lol.
My problem is though I was wanting to check for a few things in stock on Argos before going in, and the bloomin site has been down since last night:mad:
Anywho, was flicking through the TV channels in bed earlier on and on the Free Movie channels (I refuse to pay for Sky Movies) there's a few Christmas films on today:T
Home Alone 2 is on Film 4:j
And also on the channel that will switch to Christmas movies after Halloween there are 2 Christmas films on there today.
Have set all 3 to record as we'll be out but will DEFINITELY be watching them today.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

I have seen marvel avengers toiletries sets primark maybe? and homebargains had ironman/cap.america pump style handwash for 99p.
JJ hope things went ok at your appointment and they can sort out your shunt issues quickly this time

pixtotts I saw the OCD top last night on my facebook and shared it, made me chuckle :rotfl:
irishrose ooo I hadn't spotted Home Alone on, it's near the end but I have infact just popped it on
ruthhoney the best thing you can do is try them on and either judge for yourself of take someone with you who is honest whether it suits you or not, that's what I do when I am not sure. My OH is always honest with me which is handy when we are going out or i'm dragging him around the shopshave fun shopping
Not much to report in, one more Christmas cake to make - ours which I will try and cook tomorrow.
I'm tempted to get my Christmas cards out and start writing a few. Normally I write them all in one fail swoop / two sittings and my handwriting always ends up a little sloppy. This year being organised I think I will do a few a time.
I have chicken cassuer (sorry can't spell it) in the oven, roasties will be going in soon and for tonights pudding I have made a pastry base, apples in the middle, caramel on the apples then crumble on top. It looks so nice I could eat that for tea:rotfl:Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

B***** phone! Typed a message out and it decided to delete it for me, cheers!
Anyway, I've started to buy one or two extra long life items in the weekly shop to add to the Xmas stash for this year, to cut down (or out!) the 'big' shop as we always buy too much. They will go in a procured box in a kitchen cupboard to hide from OH until at Dec 1st at the very least...
In the stash goes:
Big tub of mini savoury biscuits
Pack of choc Leibniz biscuits
Bag of chilli and cheese crisps
I'm fairly sure we have one or two jars of mincemeat from Sainsbury's when they were 9p earlier in the year, not my area of interest but it might keep OH quiet trying to make some pies soon!0 -
princesskitty29 wrote: »Wow feisty that's amazing! £2.40! In terms of the food how do you do it? I watch these coupon programmes and people get £100 worth of food for a fiver and I think how?? Maybe i'm not very good with coupons! The craft swapping is such a good idea. Unfortunately i'm rubbish with crafts so can't participate but love the idea. I know you've probably told us before but how do we look at your items you make? Thanks.
I've just messaged pixtotts to join the shared Pinterest board, I don't want to miss out! Such a great idea, thanks pixtotts for setting this up. x
DH has liver failure (linked to his heart, not alcoholism) and so we have to get as much organic stuff as poss, so we were shopping at Waitrose. We then stopped and they sent us £70 worth of vouchers (£10, £15, £20, £25 minimum £75 order) to entice us back. We made sure our weekly shop with them was sensible and then spent the voucher amount on Christmas goodies - they have a lot of good special offers too!
If you click on my name and then click on the 'contact' tab you will see my facebook business pageYou can have a nosy at the paper cut I've just designed for my business cards, I'm really chuffed with it lol
I can't believe I've missed our pinterest boardI need to go track it down as I'm sure it will be excellent!
I have lost my shopping food list from last yearI'm really gutted as it was perfect. I shall trawl back through the posts from last year to try and food the shopping list we came up with and then edit it to our needs, wish me luck!

Hi All,:santa2:
I am getting so much pleasure from reading all your posts.
Ruth-honey. I’m sure B+M or Adsa do mens Marvel lounge pants.
Pixtotts, I would also like to be part of the Pinterest page. Unfortunately I get kind of bogged down when I go on there. I’m sure the Pinterest Fairy comes to my home and winds the clocks forward!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
My house smells of Christmas :xmastree:
I have just finished cooking my Delia Christmas mincemeat. Not very MSEbut I have done this for 28 years and I now have the recipe tweaked to suit my families taste.
I have amassed quite a stash of candy canes. This is my theme this year as I have been saving pictures in a folder of ways to use them.:snow_grin
I have most of my shopping done- awaiting some deliveries from Amazon.:(
I am visiting friends in November and we are going to Cambridge for a mooch around for some “stuff”.:j
I will also be having a look in The Range and Dunelm – just in case I have overlooked something that I’m desperate for but I won’t know till I see it!!!!:o
Love and hugs to those who need them.:grouphug:
Happy shopping……Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say
