Haha, Bells Mc Slushy.
Epiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic,I have just listed 27 yes 27 items on ebay. Size 22 to 16 has left me with not too much to wear,so if I manage to flog some of the bigger stuff I can spend the money on smaller stuff, win, win.
Free spirit,I feel your pain. I lost weight cos I was convinced my bad back was due to my weight.Well its no different. I am waiting to see a consultant though. It really gets me down being in pain all the time and having to sit down every few minutes, that's without the shooting pains, numb leg and pins and needles! I live on pain killers.
Anyway that's dull. I am working at school all next week. This is the first year in many that I havent been there to greet the new reception class.I am looking forward to meeting them.
DD2 has kindly given me a cold:(
Taking DD1back to uni tomorrow after school so the bright lights of Manchester's shops call.As someone has just said there may be things that I didn't know that I needed out there:o

Freespirit, hope you manage to get things sorted out pain-wise - chronic pain is so hard to live with.
Ruth Honey, I agree with the others. Try the coat on and if you like, then wear it and enjoy it. Life's too short to worry about what other people think.......of course I don't practice what I preach but that doesn't mean it isn't true lol
Jingle McFrosty saying 'night night' everyone. Hope we all sleep well and wake up feeling good tomorrow. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
I would like to join the Pinterest page too, how do I find you?
Freespirit have you tried reflexology for the trapped nerve pain? It can be very useful? Hope it improves soon.
Nothing Christmassy to report here bar pinning, my house is upsides down as we are getting wood floor and redecorating so I'm surrounded by furniture in the wrong place.
However I've seen some lovely new baby felt decorations I think I might need to make for my friends to celebrate their new arrivals.
I also want to make myself a tree dec with my friends name to celebrate her life have some of family members I've already lost so will need to work on that.
Ohh I've got the sloes in the freezer for the Xmas sloe gin that's some progress

Thinking I might do a Marvel hamper for hubby's Christmas present. Got a huge book from the B00k People and there's some film out in November that could go with it. What else? No mugs, as we have tons. Maybe sweets or undies?

Sainsburys have a few bits and pieces. Stationery - pens, pencils, notepads. Also shower gels and a little travel set of men's toiletries.0 -
ruth_honey I am a big girl too and spent many years hiding behind baggy clothes trying to make sure no one looked at me, all because my mother used to say I was an embarrassment, but then one day I woke up and thought to myself that If people don't like me the way I am then they can stay out of my life. I went to the hairdressers and chopped my hair off, dyed it bright red and started my love of tattoos all in the same day lol My husband says it's great to have the old me back because I was confident up until I became bigger and my mother was constantly putting me down. I wear a size 24/26 and I love anything leopard print and with skulls. Be who you want to be hun and don't let anyone make you feel that because you are big, you can't wear amazing clothes, life's too short so enjoy it

Thank you everyone, luckily I decided to start with the first page as I knew OMO was so organised the list would probably be there, or at least a link to it
I have copied and amended, will get the satisfaction of crossing things off and starting the baking hamper / family gathering list soon
Freespirit, I'm so sorry to hear you are in so much painI really hope it passes. Well done for going to the baby shower, you really swallowed a great big, warty toad and I'm so happy you enjoyed yourself.
Thank you for asking about DH, sadly he has been very bad the last week. He barely has the energy to get out of bed in the morning and the chest pains have been excruciating. I am now trapped between the feeling of less stress over a good income coming in (from gaining an extra full time job) and the guilt/stress over leaving him alone all day and then neglecting him at weekends/evenings to fill orders. I just need to sell our flat ASAP so we can hopefully get approved for another shared ownership, but a house. Then there is the smallest glimmer of home that I may be able to work from home more than away from it.
I'm with the other lovelies - wear whatever makes you feel awesome! I always have a little word with myself along the lines of I am never going to be this age again, so I should make the most of it
Wish me luck, we have to be at the fertility hospital first thing (over an hour away) and then rush from there to Southampton hospital (an hour and a half from there) for 11am - it's going to be a stressful day![/COLOR]2024 Challenges
Live in the moment more and appreciate the small things0 -
Feisty.. hope all goes well at the clinic.. and let's call it a productive day not stressful..
And I would rather see a big lady in a fur coat than hotpants.. but if you want to wear either, both or even both together.. I don't care.. I'll wear what I want and you wear what you want BUT, if you ask my opinion on what you look like be prepared for the honest brutal truth..
I quit trying to lose weight when I lost 2 st 10 and was still wearing the same size clothes and had starved myself pretty much for over a year.. then people were saying oh I've lost 2lb and wearing 5 sizes smaller clothes... ok so that might be a slight exaggeration but that's what it felt like.. smug barstools.. no bitterness there at all.
I'm a fat f*** and yes I do actually care but if it means the difference between being perpetually hungry or wearing this size clothes I'll go with the clothes ty. I normally without any force feeding consume about 800-900 calories a day.. I have to force myself to eat, I forget, I have notes to remind me.. I tried weight watchers and had to eat so much I was making myself sick.. it was like those programmes on anorexic people where they sit and cry over a plate of food because it is simply too much.. Anyway, enough of my lunacy.

Tinkle McGlisten saying good morning to you all
hope everyone is as well as can be.
hugs to all that need them.
amey thank you for the lush heads up on all things christmassy there.
nanamia hope you are well
hugs to you re the trapped nerve pain freespirit, hope it eases soon
i agree pigpen, its much better to be comfortable in the skin youre in than worrying and obsessing over every mouthful. i could do with losing a few lbs but i eat reasonably sensibly and am generally fit so if how i look bothers anyone its their problem not mine.
on christmas news all Dh pressies have now been ordered and i bought a new angel yesterday she is rather gorgeous and has a nice calm serene face, seems silly to consign her to the attic for a few weeks only to bring her down again so im going to chance my arm leaving her on the piano to watch over us.
wet and miserable here so not planning on going far except work today, patio chairs have just blown down the garden i how bad it is!!! ive shared so much of my misery with you over the last few weeks with mils diagnosis being so bad and then finding out my uncle is dying so thank you for your support and kindness through it all, now id like to share some happy news with you, DD2 has told us that next year me and Dh are going to be grandparents so ive now got something lovely to look forward to - a new baby to cuddle.SPC~12 ot 124

What a grim morning - weather wise
heating on full at work as we are cold, given that the hole where water leaks through still hasn't been fixed even though they promised it would be a year ago
It's also deathly quiet, so looks like another slow day here..anyway enough moaning now!
pigpen that is so annoying when people loose a tiny bit of weight and drop sizes! I myself am a 12/14 and although I have not lost any actual weight I have lost a bit on size - I don't trust the scales I trust how my clothes feel and what I see in the mirror! Much more realistic. I'm careful but eat what I like when I like and just exercise to make room for it :rotfl::D

mrsm what wonderful news, congratulations to your DD and your family
freespirit sorry that you are still in painbut glad that the baby shower went well, and how nice that you got looked after when you had struggled to get there in pain.
We have dug the final potatoes out the allotment last night, the final last couple of plants were by torch light ha ha! We have pulled quite a few cabbages up and now just have parsnips, brussles, red cabbage and a few white cabbage left in. We have had quite a busy summer so OH hasn't been able to spare as much time to go down as he wanted so he said he wasn't too fussed doing it next year, but I insisted that we carry on as it's good to get out and I have enjoyed it - plus I know more going in to next year so hopefully I will be better organised, bless him he did agree
I need to find a running top for my Dad so going to have a snoop online see if I can see anything. Just need to rack my brains for something else for BIL and FIL plus pick up the gifts for granparents and that's my Christmas presents finished - apart from something else for OH but he doesn't know what he wants yet.
I finished 10 Christmas cards yesterday and will keep doing 10 at a time I think.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
