  • Decided to nip to l!dl this morn to pick up some crochet hooks 99p for 3 it was rude not to. Anyways, 6 crochet hooks and an overlock machine (that I have wanted for years) later I'm back at home thinking whoopsie but what the heck it's me time :-)
  • Feisty I can see how your shopping was so cheap now! So sorry to hear about DH, but I wish you all the luck in the world today at the fertility clinic, no-one deserves this more than you guys. I will have a look at your makes after this post!

freespirit so sorry you are still suffering with your back, how miserable. I do hope it doesn't linger too long for you. Well done on going to the baby shower, i'm glad to hear you enjoyed it in the end.

mrs-moneypenny congrats on dd's news - how exciting!! Something wonderful to look forward to.

Well I decided this morning that I would rather walk into town in the 'light' rain rather than driving - it didn't stay light for long and I got soaked! Literally had to peel my jeans off when I got back! Not a wise move. Ah well, we're home and in the dry now. This is the time I could really do with a lovely roaring log fire! I'm off to dream about one now...
  • Magic McFrosty signing in!

Thank you to anyone who has mentioned frozen stuff & whereabouts - I now have a list of stores to visit tomorrow to hopefully finish off dd2''s stocking fillers.

All presents purchased & awaiting wrapping. Hoping to have all stockings finished this week, which then only leaves Xmas eve hamper, elf gifts/activities, and food!

Coming in well under budget so far (almost £200!) So very happy with myself! I started saving £1 a day in September, and will continue to do so until Jan sales when it will be used to give me a healthy start on xmas 2015!

Winter is well & truly approaching, full of cold & an ear infection. I've been out of bed just 5 hours and already longing to climb back in lol

Have a great day all x
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • Forgot to say, i'm Cookie McSnowballs!

Sorry pixtotts meant to say I did get your invite to the Pinterest board, I didn't get your PM though. Thank you and i'm now following and enjoying the pins! :T

Feisty I have just sent you a PM, let me know if you haven't received it as nothing was showing in my sent items. x
  • Well done pinknfluffy for being finished! That must be a relief.

I meant to say (wish I remembered everything in one post!) I did the Groupon deal on the grabbit board this morning and bought a £10 M&S voucher for £6, DH got one too so we've got £20 for £12 and we're going to use them on some posh food for Christmas. :j

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hope McIcicles here.

Not too much festive goings on to report. Bought another in style mag to get the night cream for mum's stocking and watched Christmas with the Cranks then started on The Santa Clause whilst ironing yesterday. It was a huge ironing pile!

Our coffee machine gave up half way through a pot yesterday so, in order to get the same model quickly, I've ordered one from ocado. Added a few Christmas bits too (a touch extravagant I know) - Box of 12 christmas crackers and some Guinness chocs for Hubby's stocking.
  • Hi everyone

Not much to report here, managed to buy the Ripleys book in Costco for just under £9.00 so thank you to the person who suggested trying there. Bought those adorable pencil type cases and purses that were also posted on here from Amazon, the purses have arrived and are lovely especially given the price. I hope to go to Primark on Friday and love the sound of the Coca Cola Pjs so might just have to have a look (it's following an interview so if it goes well I will treat myself and if not I'll refrain!).

I would love to join the pinterest board if I could?

Pixtots can I join the Pinterest board too please? Have only been on Pinterest once so still a newbie.

Freespirit, sending you big healing vibes.

Feisty - hope you and Mr Feisty get good news at both hospital appointments. Thinking of you.

Pinknfluffy - hats off to you, I keep thinking I'm nearly done and then realising I'm nowhere near lol

Pigpen, I know exactly what you mean. DD has been losing and putting on the same pound a half since January so I suggested she ditch the diet for a while and just eat healthily. I think the frustration of not being able to lose weight (she's done it previously but put it back on with the babies) was really knocking her self confidence.

Congratulations Mrs M - really glad you have something lovely to look forward to now.

Nana and Omo - hope you're both ok.

Reading His Missus' post has reminded me that I'm thinking of a coffee machine (one that does hot choc too as I don't like coffee) for DH for Christmas. I only want a cheap one where the little pots you have to buy aren't too expensive either. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations of something that would fit the bill?
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

pinknfluffy wow you are doing great apart from taz I don't seem to have much sorted at all yet. asda have a couple of frozen sweets in one was a tube and the other was those boxes of mini choc figures they also had an advent calendar.

Nanamia & omo hope your both doing ok

sains have choc brussel sprouts this yr not as real looking as the m&s ones but cheaper at only £1 and I think they are on offer 3 for 2? staff were putting out the xmas gifts so will have to pop back for a proper look tomorrow.

ordered some bits for ds from sportdirect as they had joggers £1.50 & hoodies £2.29 they get some good bargains but don't often buy from them as always end up spending more as have to pay postage and it takes forever to arrive

def a big increase in the amount of xmas stock around just wish I had more time to actually browse properly :(
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
