    Hola

Flippin eck Irish Rose, one bad apple eh? Poor little babe in hospital too.

Well ! I am now sick of Tango related products :o. Took DD1 back to uni as very hungover from her works Christmas party last night.Took the opportunity to visit Tesco Extra on a lip balm hunt,no joy. Went to giant B&M dearth of tango stuff.Went to Home Bargains got a liquid rollerball special edition tooth rotting item! Thats it now,10 in total.Fed up of being on a wild tango product hunt :).

In answer to your question as to why Tango,DD2 was sniffing the shower gel in a shop and that got me thinking of stuff for Christmas. DD2 is just 13 and likes to have "surprises". This gives me free rein but 13 is an in between age for toys and adult stuff.
Last year I bought a lovely wicker picnic hamper off ebay and filled it with mixing bowl, wooden spoons, icing bag, cake recipe book etc ,etc, etc. The sum total was about £15 and it looked fantastic and she loved it.

Back to Christmassy buisness.Oooooo the shops are filling up with glitter and shiny red.Bought some gold glittery glass placemats in B&M but they are still in my car boot, waiting to smuggle them in and pretend we have had them for years.

Also bought DD2 some reindeer slippers and the cutest little gingerbread house from Home Bargains (69p)

I so wanted to buy some giant Santa hats that fit over the back of your dining chairs but DD1 wouldn't let me,had to make do with some gorgeous red nail varnish instead.

B&M had a pack of 5 pairs of Christmas socks which said for your mistle toes on.I think they were £3ish.

Talking of Christmas day,we may not have Christmas on Christmas day:eek::eek::eek:

Hubby's Mother is incapacitated this year, and lives a couple of hours drive from us.He will probably have to go and see her on Christmas day,in which case we will have Christmas another day.I will be at home having a nice time as she has fallen out with me and isn't speaking:D.

He booked a holiday today to Cyprus at half term.Never been before, lovely. I have no clothes!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.what a terrible dilemma. Actually I don't want to buy stuff as I have lost 3 1/2 stone and plan to loose more and want a big spree when iv'e lost another stone or so.I have already told DD1 I want to borrow a kimono thingy that she had on last night! will have to wash n wear.

Did I hear it was Freespirits birthday? I hope you have had a lovely day Freespirit.:bdaycake:

Yeah one huge big bad apple who is a bloomin dangerous person into the boot. I never liked them from day dot. My gut feeling is never wrong, but everyone else loved them. SO I thought it was just me being me lol.

Regarding the large Santa hats for the chairs............ we have those:o Our "Christmas Elf" brought them last year and DC thought it was hilarious and didn't want them to be put away again:rotfl:
Got ours off a bookman in work for £5 for 4 of them. So keep an eye out and don't pay £6 for 2 as I've seen in shops before:eek:

I#m about to tackle our spare room and de hoard it of "rubbish" I may not be back anytime soon as it's like the black hole once you go in there:eek:

    Good Morning
Freespirit,I feel your pain :(. Rest, anti inflamitories and hotwater bottles do work a bit.Don't want to say much else as I don't think we can give medical advice!

Good Lord,I reached 50 and fell to bits, got every ailment under the sun now.:rotfl:

Have to drive 6 miles to GP, so might as well go a further 4 after and have a mooch round the shops at the nearest town.

    ...then decorating.

The chiropractor told me to use cold sprays not hot for trapped nerves. Rest didn t make any difference. I couldn t even find a comfortable position for my arm when standing or lying down.

I think I'm now subconsciously seeing Tango things everywhere thanks to this thread :o

Went to the Range this afternoon and they have one of those big cracker type-things with 24 packets of Tango popping candy in 3 flavours for £1. Also noticed Wilko have them that price too..

My present box is slowly filling up so I really need to get everything out and sort it into bags for people in a more organised fashion but I have some friends coming round next week and I need to tidy the house before then so it'll have to wait :rotfl:

    Happy Birthday freespirit :)

I was chatting to my friend about Christmas meals. She told me last year they opted for a Chinese and it was the best Christmas Day ever as there was no washing up or stress.
I mentioned it to my OH and now he fancies it.
I just don't think I could break from the tradition of a proper turkey and all the trimmings. I can stretch to beef and gammon, but I love my turkey, sprouts, roasters, stuffing and pigs in blankets.

Has anyone here ever ventured from the traditional, and how was it? Or are you all Traditional types?
in my eyes I can have a Chinese or Indian any given Friday through the year. I love the tradition of all sitting together, pulling crackers and eating turkey etc

My DS and I are not great fans of turkey, yet we seem to have it every year. Last year we spent Christmas by ourselves, so went to Centre Parcs and had t-bone steaks instead of turkey :D

It was lovely, and we much preferred it to turkey so will once again be skipping the turkey for Christmas day this year. However, I come from a large family, so we are bound to encounter turkey somewhere over the festive period.
