You'll be pleased to know my kitty is looking less sparkly though every now and then we get a glint of something shiny on his fur. Glitter really is difficult to completely get rid of, isn't it.
Just ordered Hubby's xmas card and a bangle for a friend from Lisa angel, thanks to whoever posted the sale link, got 5% off too as a first order. Another pressie sorted0 -
Amyturtle - I thank you very much for the Lush info - however, my bank card and Dh do not thank you ha ha x
Dd1's 14th bday today. Bless, she really didnt have much to open (2 cheap xbox games, a pair of gloves, and a lip balm!). Everyone has given her money this year, and we have paid for the concert she is going to next week. But shes another one that loves surprises, and I could see she would much rather have had little bits to open than money.
I did tell her its a sign that she is no longer a child, and promised to have a girly shopping spree at the weekend.
I am really glad now that I decided against vouchers and money for xmas. Some of the gifts Ive got her are very random, but at least she will have stuff to open!
Dd2 turns 7 next week, so its a very busy start to the month for us.
I have started getting bits together for pots of gold, and chocolate sleighs. Im going to do the chocolate sleighs as table name setting thingies this year.
Things are stupidly quiet with work at the moment. The bad side to being self employed, sat around with very little money coming in! Hopeful it will pick up again as we get closer to Xmas though.
Freespirit - Sorry i wasnt on yesterday, so Happy belated Birthday xxIt's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Hi guys!
I've been into the card shop with the hope they would have Xmas Yankee candles in. They only had 2but they did have new autumn ones in which smelt lush!
My friend works in a shop and gets a staff discount so hopefully her shop will get them in too !0 -
Just bought November's In Style mag as it had a free trial size day cream (was on the mse newsletter) that will be ideal for mum's xmas stocking. Have left the mag in the staffroom with a "free to good home" note, I'm not a fashion or gossip mag kind of person0

Hi everyone just popping in before I head into town. Have a few christmas gifts to pick up, from Asda, Tesco, Argos and Boots lol.
Also need to try and fit in the bank if I can too.
Although I'm now hoping for a miracle from Argos as their Alien family dolls are now on sale for £2 upwards and I need one of each for LO. Problem being now that since going on sale further yesterday there is no stock of all of them at all in any stores near me or further afieldCould cry. LO really loves them and I'd gotten the Older kiddies them a few months back when they were on offer and there is still murder when LO gets their hands on them. So wanted to get a set for Christmas for her
Thought I'd be sneaky to and get them even cheaper as they're in the 3 for 2 offer too and I missed out on that now. Will have to stalk the site now in the hope people have reserved them and not picked them up.

Hi,My friend sent me an unexpected parcel of Lush through the post when I was poorly a couple of years ago.It was just the nicest pick me up.
Nothing Christmas related done today.I have tried EVERY single item of clothes I own on apart from pants.Pile for hospice shop, and pile to try on Ebay. I also went through Hubby's clothes and got rid of loads. Now DD2 is home from school we will shortly have a look at all her clothes too. I didn't think that we were having a summer holiday this year so I recently got rid of some of her stuff 'cos I thought it would be too small by next year.
Forgot to say yesterday Sainsburys have some nice Christmas things in,and tins of Christmas biscuits etc. Also in my nearest store they had table cloths half price at £7 for a big one in either white or ivory. They were amongst the food isles tho' not with full price linens.
The ribbon from China came yesterday, very pleased with it for 1.60 delivered.
