I'm going to write a list of films to watch every Sunday between now and Christmas. Not necessarily Christmas films but still films I'd normally watch that time of year.

    So far on my list:
    Elf
    Scrooged
A Muppets Christmas Carol (the best version)
    The Grinch
    Bad Santa
Monty Python and the Life of Brian
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (that's the Gene Wilder one, right?)
    The Wedding Singer
    Pitch Perfect

    Any other suggestions?

    Polar express
    Nativity 1 & 2
    Its a wonderful life
    Arthur Christmas
    Jingle all the way
Home alone (1 through 500 isn't it? Lol)
    Miracle on 34th street...

There are films that aren't Christmas based?!

Don't forget Christmas movies 24 usually starts in November!

Does Christmas movies 24 come on to freeview can anyone remember? We don't have sky but I used to love watching it on sky when I lived at home (parents have sky)!

*I am also beginning to wonder if I have gone a touch overboard on some the the Christmas gifts, as I made scarves and headbands and have kind of not taken these in to consideration of cost when adding up...beginning to wonder if I can put some bits away for next Christmas or birthdays next year...hmmmm...we have spent £35 per sibling and per parent, £35 per grandparents and then £20 per partners of our siblings..
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

    Hello to all newbies!

It's lovely to see this thread getting busy again, that means it's not too long to go now :j

Hugs to those who need them, and also to those who don't, because hugs are great! :D

I'm glad to hear things are improving slightly for you princesskitty29, please don't ever feel like you're bringing the thread down, we're all here to help one another and support each other, as well as to enjoy the festive fun, so please share if you have bad days as well as good. I don't wish to quote a tv ad, but it is good to talk :)

springdreams, I have to ask, what are Taste of Christmas mugs please? I'm also going to have a look at that bingo link when I've got a spare minute, it sounds fun!

I hope you all had a wonderfully festive weekend watching Christmas in September. I only caught the last bit of 'Spicy Christmas' which didn't appeal at all, and then watched an hour of Delia whilst putting together some Ikea flatpack furniture! At least the Christmassyness helped to relieve the flatpack stress, lol! :rotfl:

PRINCESSKITTY i am so glad you have improved the last few days, and thankyou for your comment, bless you :) i just wanted to say my sisters first baby suffered from colic and she took him to a chiropractor and it worked wonders he was so much better after that, and with her second she didnt take any chances and took her straight to a chiropractor, i dont know if you are into that sort of thing but i thought i would mention it, hope you have had a good day today my lovely x

BOREDJELLYBEAN i will keep an eye out but i dont think i have ever seen coloured coins just the gold or silver

LULU i dont know why but seeing your list of films made me think of two i can watch over and over again are White Chicks and Stepbrothers

MANDCO oh bless you :) i know its irrational and downright silly but then that is me all over :D

SPRINGDREAMS oh thankyou for those links for the yankee advents they are gorgeous

NEWTHRIFT we have freesat and i was gutted that we didnt get christmas movies 24 last year but we did get another one and i cant remember for the life of me what it was called, something like true christmas 24??? it was basically the same non stop christmas movies, as far as the presents go, what do you feel comfortable with? if you feel you have spent too much then put some away for next xmas/birthdays but if you feel happy with what you have then go for it

DJSTAR hi and welcome to our lovely thread :)

ARTHIEN oh i missed the whole weekend i forgot all about it :(

  • Love that Yankee candle advent calendar, never seen one of those before. It's a little pricey for me this year as like I said, I am very behind myself this year and have not planned or brought anything yet but I am definitely making a note of that to treat myself to one for next Xmas!
