DS has been watching it online, he thought it was funny until I suggested a "craddock christmas" [better than a "festive fanny"].
I've asked him to look in the shed for some secateurs to clean up to 'carve the chicken'. The look in return was priceless. Although he said I could burn the choux pastry as well as Fannys. Wait until he see's the luminous icing :rotfl:0 -
So I got the toy I reserved yesterday eventually, the Argos I go to is a little hit and miss with staff. There is always a load on but they never seem to be doing anything except the lady behind the till!
I also picked up a few other bits, a lovely storage box in Store 21 for 2.99. a Fairly average price for the size but they have a huge choice now of colours and styles. They had loads of sentiment pictures and plaques reduced if anyone is interested too.
Also if anyone is doing a mans hamper Savers have Addidas deoderant sprays for £1. These vary in price but the last one I bought my son was £2.50.
I wandered about for a bit looking for an age 13 keepsake thats not a mug - huge fail! Never mind ebay will help I expect lol.Life happens, live it well.0 -
Afternoon All!
Hope we are all well! I'm feeling rather pants myself, a killer headache that I've had for days and feeling super tender to touch.
On the Christmas front I've ordered some bits from lakeland, clear cellophane bags for my cookies for presents, a chocolate melting pot, and a chocolate spoons mould so will do those for presents too. Also bought Mum a chippati plate and a couple of bits for Mum to give me for Christmas. Have ordered the personalised coke bottles which is perfect because as you can imagine Amey is difficult to find. Will order some miniatures too they were something I debated last year so will buy this year.
Love and hugs
OMO and Nanamia I'm worried about you both xxx0 -
Morrison's have chocolate tubs 2 for £8. Also they have plastic baskets, great for hampers, all reduced. Largest ones were only £3, four sizes starting from 87p!It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

After I catch up on here and do what I need to do I'm going to go and sort out what gifts I have so far. I also donate some gifts to our local charity and send some to children involved in the PostPals Charity also so I want to get those separated and sorted as I need to have those posted by start of December.
I have them all in for PostPals I think, just awaiting a delivery from the Studio book and that's them all done.
I was in town today and picked up some americian sweets for my 2 niece's hampers. Bought them Pyjamas also, so will just put some bits and pieces inside the hamper with the pj's and that's them sorted. I need to get some of the Harry Potter Chocolate frogs for them both and that's them done hopefully.
I also bought 4 finger KitKats to make candy cane sleighs this year again for DC's friends. Will pick up bits and pieces for those each week when I see them on offer. Halloween's usually a good time to buy the rest of those.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
princesskitty29 - I echo what all others have said your not being insensitive at all, youve already taken the biggest step in the right direction by talking about it. I decided years ago I will never be having children because I have a history of depression and am absolutely petrified of getting PND.
Christmas decorations were being put on the shelves in the rang todayI got most excited, and my friend just sent me a message arranging our christmas get together, super excited!!! I'm starting the ordering of my Avon Christmas bits
and just painted my nails red, I hardly ever wear red usually only at christmas because I have scary long nails and think red + stupid long is on that fine line between cute nails and lady of the night lol.
We've got some family friends those coke bottles with their names on for Christmasordered them online, they are really nice glass bottles too. Thinking we might have to get another set for ourselves... bit cheaty as we've found our names anyway both full and shortened
lol
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
