Hi everyone. Just popping in quickly to say there's some cycling bargains on the Halfords site. Lots of things for £1 if you have people that are tricky to buy for-and cycle, obviously! It's on the Grabbit thread, but if you don't venture there, search Halfords for 'kit', 'bell', 'mug', 'multi tool' and 'rucksack' and change option to 'price low to high' to find the best deals. I've got some bits for my brothers birthday, as long as mum can collect them for me! They weren't all in stock locally so reserved them near her.

Happy Birthday and Happy New Year!
Gift preps begin. I need to replenish birthday card stocks. Buy stamps and look for gift items for my mam in February.
When DH is paid mid month I shall be looking for money off lego kits for kids for christmas next year! They never grow out of lego!
Question for you all. Do you wrap as you buy and just make a list of what you have? I have some led over paper and tempted to wrap as soon as. Just thinking I maybe tempted to wonder come the autumn and peek in, defeating the purpose!

FUDDLE i tend to wrap as i buy and put them in the top of the wardrobe, as i cant stand wrapping lots of presents together it worked really well this year all my wrapping was done by end of october :)

    Xmas Saver!
Hi all, am ashamed to say I am a major lurker, I read through the 2013 thread every single day last year & never once posted!

So I am here to join in this year, I am a complete Christmas NUT like I know a lot of you are & I feel at home already :D

I am actually going through a Christmas depression, I really can't get over the fact it's all over. Tree and decs are all gone, all outside lights are down :( I'm so gutted.

I have 2 children who will be 10 and 12 this year so Christmas is getting a lot more difficult, most toys are now gone but I am enjoying having a much more grown-up type household.

Hope to stick around :) Hugs to everyone :)

Oh and my birthday (the big 3-0 this year) is the 22nd September :)

    Hello, bd added.

I'm so pleased so many lurkers have made the jump to posting this year. :D

    7roland8.

What about stuffed hearts, stars and gingerbread men? If you have material you only need to make a pattern on some cereal box card, cut it out, stitch and stuff.:D
There are about 50 weeks before you need to decorate the tree.
One item per week with a push on the salt dough at the beginning of December should set you up..........:):):)
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you can do.......
    What a long wait:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Wishing for next Christmas already:j

    xxx

Thanks again. Also thought of those clear cellophane cone bags that you tie up with ribbon. I can buy 50 for £1.60 on ebay so with some pretty pink or red ribbon they would look great hung on the tree - not sure what to put in them yet but anything colourful would do - I'm saving the coloured cellophane form my Quality Street sweets anyway! Or use cheap sweets or even some coloured salt dough ones.

    Evening everyone,
After going back to bed for an hour my headache did seem to ease, and dinner went really well :T and it was lovely having my DSis1 and kids here, we all had a lovely time and toasted the year with a glass of champagne, i have done all challenges from DS today
    1. Complete a Sudoku puzzle
    2. Write down my NY resolutions
    3. Walk route 1 (400m)
    4. Write down 10 things i am grateful for

(sorry if i bore anyone but i thought if i type them on here each day a) it gives me extra incentive and b) it will make me feel doubly good when i complete them) all part and parcel of my therapy.

Happy New Year all. I managed to stay up but only because I came down with tonsillitis yesterday and was in too much pain to sleep! Been to out of hours doctor this morning and now have so many tablets I'll be rattling! I hope I'm not starting this year as I mean to go on!
I've made a start on Xmas 2014, got some lovely kids bath sets reduced to £3.00 each in Asda so got a few of the kids sorted. Also bought some of the S&G beauty sets 50% off in Boots for 2 SILs and BFF. Haven't managed to buy my cards and wrapping paper yet as I haven't seen any. The shops round here have either sold out or put it away for next year!
We were supposed to be going to MILs for our dinner today but we are staying home now as I don't want to pass on my lurgy. Hope everybody enjoys their day. :)

Oh HANLEY i hope you feel better soon sending you hugs x

    Happy New Year everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed last evening whatever you did.
Mum ended up staying the night, unexpectedly. Dad's been readmitted as he has an infection as well as needing his drain refitted. He's as good as told Mum he wants to die so it was a bit of a sad evening.
Back to work tomorrow for me, I don't feel like I'vehad a break this xmas. Next xmas should be better with it landing on a Thursday as we'll have the weekend taged on the end

HISMISSUS oh your poor dad, i hope they clear up the infection quick that is the last thing he needs, sending you all lots of hugs at this sad time x

Tree and decorations are now down for another 11 months :( just have to swing the Hoover round tomorrow and move all the furniture back into its normal position.

Alarm is set for going back to work tomorrow, just have to remember that I need to get up when it goes off! Getting back into the rhythm of normal is always hard, specially when there's only 2 work days until another weekend but I suppose it eases you back gently :o
