  • Happy new year to you all.
Went to a friends house for dinner and then to the local bar to wish the new year in and home for 12.30.

Took the tree and decs down today and about to do the rest of the dusting. Took off the sheets and they are all hanging on the line drying I the sun ( sorry to say that !). - they will be back on the beds in a few hours.

Local village has folklore traditional singers and dancing starting at 4 pm so we might walk down and have a drink and a snack before getting ready for work tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good day whatever they are doing.

    Hi all

Heading out to the cinema now but just popped on to post a list of initial thoughts and aims for 2014.....

Drink a glass of water a day (this is obvious but I don't do it) :o

Empty handbag at least once a week (I am sick of losing car keys in the chaos)

Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on

    Treasure people around me

Stay healthy and well away from hospitals

Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.

No idea to get this all into my sig and will probably think of more but that's it for now xx

Happy New Year all. I managed to stay up but only because I came down with tonsillitis yesterday and was in too much pain to sleep! Been to out of hours doctor this morning and now have so many tablets I'll be rattling! I hope I'm not starting this year as I mean to go on!
I've made a start on Xmas 2014, got some lovely kids bath sets reduced to £3.00 each in Asda so got a few of the kids sorted. Also bought some of the S&G beauty sets 50% off in Boots for 2 SILs and BFF. Haven't managed to buy my cards and wrapping paper yet as I haven't seen any. The shops round here have either sold out or put it away for next year!

We were supposed to be going to MILs for our dinner today but we are staying home now as I don't want to pass on my lurgy. Hope everybody enjoys their day. :)
    Savings Account - £0.00 :(

    Weight Loss - 33lbs lost 9lbs to go :)

Happy New Year to all & Happy Birthday to Archiebear.
Having a lazy day but I may get the sewing machine out and learn how to thread the thing. Baby steps!
It hasn't stopped raining here, so I am not starting any garden clear up until tomorrow. That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it!
    Have a good afternoon everyone

    Happy New Year everyone!

Hope you all enjoyed last evening whatever you did.

Mum ended up staying the night, unexpectedly. Dad's been readmitted as he has an infection as well as needing his drain refitted. He's as good as told Mum he wants to die so it was a bit of a sad evening.

Back to work tomorrow for me, I don't feel like I'vehad a break this xmas. Next xmas should be better with it landing on a Thursday as we'll have the weekend taged on the end

    Hi all :)

Picked up a tetris light in the IWOOT sale for my bessie's birthday, he will be so thrilled as he has just moved into his first place and it is empty.

Hugs to those who need them, and happy new year vibes to all with resolutions.

Spent this morning clearing out the spare room, 6 full bags of rubbish later and its still not finished! Found a few things I thought I'd either lost or where elsewhere, and managed to stick another £2 in the Xmas savings piggie.

OH is back to work tomorrow, I'm back on Monday next so have a couple of days to relax as have had an infection since October and am just coming through the other side (I hope!)

Happy New Year to you all.

I am another one who didn't stay awake long enough to see in the new year. I wasn't woken by the midnight fireworks either.

I didn't receive anything terrible for Christmas but my friend, whose birthday was yesterday, had a packet of J-cloths and a single teaspoon as part of her birthday gifts...

Over the weekend that I had lost two pieces of cross stitch that were waiting to be framed for presents but they appeared in a box of bits from Half cost in the garage yesterday which I had forgotten about.

The leftover Christmas food was boxed up this morning - yet again I bought way too much for two of us. The new year healthy eating plan kicked in today so I shall have to offload it into the tearoom at work...

Hugs to all who need them, especially His Missus - I hope they manage to sort out your Dad's drain quickly.x

OMO - thanks for setting up this nice shiny new thread, love the name! *plops self down, messes up cushions and puts feet on coffee table*

Hello everyone, hope you all enjoyed Christmas and New Year.

I need more people to buy presents for and send cards to, there are so many lovely wrapping papers and cards around and I want all of them! Haven't done any sale shopping really, there was nothing I wanted (or needed to buy, see wrapping and cards, I've already got plenty and can't go hoarding loads that won't get used). I'm not keen on sale shopping anyway, far too much rummaging.

I have resolved to keep a notebook in which I will jot down present ideas for people as and when I have the idea, then I won't forget anything I've thought of and when there's an occasion upcoming I can just check the list and pick something.

Happy new year to all of you and all the best for 2014.

    Evening all,
I actually signed up for the last thread, but coursework took over my life. This year though I plan to be far more organised. I've already bought all the cards and wrapping paper and I am starting on the crochet... Not sure how you add photos, but it is going well.
