Just heard the sad news that James Avery ( Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince ) died today. He was only in his 60's . :(

Happy 2014 to everyone. We had a quiet NYE but saw the new year in with Gary Barlow, watched the fireworks then went to bed. Neighbours were a bit noisy but managed to shut it out and get to sleep.

Had lovely day today with DD2 (birthday today) and DGD although took a long while to get home due to accident on the M25 - just so thankful we weren't involved in it and thinking what a horrible start to the new year for those in it and their loved ones.

Loving the positive start everyone on here is making to the new year. I'm still a bit sad that Christmas has been and gone again but am trying to focus on the coming of spring, lighter and longer days and (hopefully) warmer weather. Also have loads of family birthdays coming up (4 this month alone) so still plenty to keep me occupied in the present-buying department.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Happy New Year everyone. Had a couple of glasses of champagne with DH last night and a Dominos pizza. Anyway DH went out at 6pm tonight and since 7 I've been throwing up. Anyway managed to get babies fed and in bed without any disasters. Never getting takeout pizza again!

    Hello, birthday added :D
  • Hi lovelies, just popped back to wish daisiegg a belated Happy Birthday, and to wish the same to archiebear for today!
Nanamia - yes thanks, I managed to have a play with some of my Xmas goodies, now need to start planning birthday / anniversary / other occasion cards for this year. It's DH's birthday next week, so I need to make his card before we go to Paris, so I can take it with me.
Hope everyone has had a good day. Sleep tight xxx
  • Hi all, am ashamed to say I am a major lurker, I read through the 2013 thread every single day last year & never once posted!

So I am here to join in this year, I am a complete Christmas NUT like I know a lot of you are & I feel at home already :D

I am actually going through a Christmas depression, I really can't get over the fact it's all over. Tree and decs are all gone, all outside lights are down :( I'm so gutted.

I have 2 children who will be 10 and 12 this year so Christmas is getting a lot more difficult, most toys are now gone but I am enjoying having a much more grown-up type household.

Hope to stick around :) Hugs to everyone :)

Oh and my birthday (the big 3-0 this year) is the 22nd September :)
    Christmas Crazy :rotfl:

Love de-cluttering, to the point I don't really own much anymore. :rotfl:

2014 IS going to be a good year :j
