Happy new year all. Hope its better and brighter for all of us.

    2013 was horrible, bring on 2014. :j

Hubby has just given me a present he forgot he bought me. Some pjs that say OCD Obsessive Christmas disorder on them. :rotfl:

I need some!!!! Where were they from? I was saying to a friend at Christmas that I should get a t shirt with that on.

Had fun watching the cat chase tin foil balls around the bed earlier. Every time we change the bedding she loves having the empty bed to hunt the balls on. Bless her. Something nice about starting the new year getting into clean fresh bedding. :)

    Happy new year

Had a nice evening with with the hubby. Prosecco, buffet and telly. Watched Mrs Browns boys. Looks like I was the only one I enjoyed Two doors down, think it's because I'm a Scot, know the actors from other things and the banter.

Hope all your dreams and wishes come true in 2014 x

Ruth_honey - He said the pjs were from B&Ms and he bought them a few weeks ago and thinks they were about a fiver.

Couldn't get more info than that and I am lucky he remembered the shop name. ;)
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D

Back from my aunt's, we watched lots of Father Ted and saw the fireworks on telly so technically a night in, but just at someone else's house. Have opened back and front door to let the old year out and new one in, I remember my nan always used to do this, funny how old family traditions make their mark so strongly.

Very glad to see the back of 2013. Watching The Proclaimers on Jools Hootennany. P.j's on, husband snoring away upstairs and enjoying a small(ish) baileys before bed. Best wishes to everyone for this year.

  • Well my lovelies.....

    I did it!!!!!!:j:j:j

Out for NYE and not a maudlin thought or tear!:D
I had decided that I would be positive and it worked.

I even had some (uncomfortable but acceptable) hugs off folk in the club.:j
I feel the demons are well and truly banished.

A very good NY to all. Lets look for the positives where we can.(Love and hugs to those who may be struggling to do this)

Thanks to all for your friendship and support.
    xx
Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say
    Loving de-cluttering

Thank you! Will check our local and get my mum to check other branches if I can't find them here. Only things I found online were from cafe press site and were quite pricey.

  • Good morning everyone, and a Happy New Year to you all! Here's hoping 2014 will be kind to us all.
We actually managed to stay awake past midnight, so I saw in the new year with DH and DD, watching Gary Barlow and the fireworks. Didn't go to bed till 2am, so it's a late start this morning for me!
Have already done some decluttering and tidying though so I'm off to a good start. Need to do some baking this pm, otherwise a peaceful day in, may even get some knitting done!
Hope everyone has a good day doing their own thing. Welcome to 2014!
    Catch you all later xxx
