DD had her endoscopy today and we hopefully are on the road to recovery. They let me stay with her and I could see the inflamed lesions and the stomach acid bubbling away.
The consultant said clearly the meds aren't working and changed them there and then but also said they would test her for a bacteria that if present tricks the body into producing too much acid. If the bacteria is in her a course of strong antibiotics will get rid of it for good.

I sincerely hope it is the bug, because that is fixable, because other than that they just leave you on meds, that's what they have done to me. The test they did for me was a stool sample, and sadly no bug.

My manager has left, I have applied for the managers job along with the trainee manager and the other supervisor. I have an interview. I was never expecting a interview.

I also think I have sublaxed my thumb last week, and have had it xrayed today I'm in a splint because they think it may be fractured, the xray was clear but apparently what they think I have fractured can be seen for like a week after the swelling has gone down.

    Good luck with the interview.

There has been a dramatic improvement with just one dose of the new meds ,she was retching briefly then sick at 4am but t again was only briefly and a very small amount, a definite improvement on the hours and hours and bucket full she has had previously.

Sorry to anyone having breakfast at the moment probably TMI !

I often wonder how I used to cope working 40 hours a week and being out of the house for 10 hours a day! I still can't keep on top of things now as there always seems to be something else that needs doing :rotfl:

Phew i'm glad i'm not the only one! :)

newthrift you'll have to show us a pic of your mums finished cake.

Ruth_honey yes as much as I love Christmas, organising my own is enough! Good luck with DH's jumper, you'll have to show us the results!

Pinknfluffy didn't take you long to get back into the swing of Christmas shopping! :T That Regatta jacket is a bargain.

His missus I always put my ipod on shuffle and a Christmas song will suddenly come on! Very strange in the middle of summer!

lazysheep thanks for the heads up on Christmas in July, I have actually never seen it - hoping to catch it this year.

OMO that campsite sounds great. I'm preparing myself for holidays in the future revolving around the kids rather than what we want to do! My DH would love that last quote, he hates socialising just for the sake of it with people he doesn't know that well.

Mrs-moneypenny wishing you lots of strength and stamina to get through all of the appointments and operation with MiL, you are doing a great job. I hope this all helps your MiL and she will feel better soon.

linz4383 glad all went well at the scan.

CHRISSYG you must be relieved they are getting somewhere with your daughter, I hope things improve for her from now on.

Ameyturtle good luck with the interview, i'm sure you will be great! I hope your thumb heals soon too, sounds nasty!

Well when I went to the dentist the other day I popped into a charity shop and bought The Magic of Christmas by Trisha Ashley, i'm going to save this one though until closer to Christmas, as I always like to have a Christmassy book on the go at the time.

My family are coming to visit today which i'm really pleased about as I've virtually been on my own for a week and half apart from when DH pops home for lunch! Better get on with the tidying up now, hope you all have a good day. x

I bought 3 of those bear pillows from John Lewis today at £3.50 each, for my grandchildren who will be travelling soon. I pick them up from Waitrose, probably on Wednesday. I can't keep them till Christmas when they could make good use of them now.

I picked these up today from the local Waitrose (click and collect). So pleased with them, the children will love them.

Also did some shopping whilst there using a JL voucher then used my My Waitrose card for a free coffee.

A good morning out, not too dear at all.

Ha that is funny, PRINCESSKITTY found the same one in a charity shop as well, that would be lovely. I am glad today went well and no hanging about at the hospital, it takes it out of you when you are just waiting and waiting x
