Hmm, I think a trip to the Ikea sale beckons after work. They have scented candles in glasses 1/2 price, will get some for token gifts and to put in hampers, plus it would probably be a sin not to get some for Chez GTQ! Their serviettes apparently are also on sale, they are the best value ever, so always stock up on those when on sale. There is a downside to working 5 mins from there and being able to nip in after work!
Hope all going well in ChristmaslandA smile costs little but creates much0 -

Maybe go for a plain foil or holographic wrapping paper and add a festive tag...0 -
Freespirit66 - I saw some on the studio24 website the other day. They had some lovely stuff and good value xx0

Depends on how you view things:eek: £132 lighter and that included additional discount:o If you haven't got one already, apply for Ikea Family Card, entitles you to further discount on some items. Found a suitcase in there (no idea who I lent my medium one to )£55 or £40 with the card. Also managed to pick up rolls of wrapping paper for 45p, reduced from £1.75.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

I will! I hope it's not as tricky as I expecting it to be. There's been a delay with the wool, so not arriving until Wednesday, but I can continue with the scarf I'm making for now.freespirit66 wrote: »Afternoon everyone,
AMEYTURTLE good luck with the interview and i hope your thumb gets better soon
CHRISSYG oh that is brilliant that DD has improved so quickly
PRINCESSKITTY hope you have a lovely time with your family, oh i will have to look out for that book, i still feel christmassy from the book i have just read
BETSIE oh im sorry to hear about your camper van, and having to cancel your holiday, i hope you can get it fixed quickly and be back on the road
WHITESATIN those bear pillows sound lovely, i still havent used my card for a free coffee yet and have had it months
What are these bear pillows? I tried searching for them, but couldn't find anything.
I used my free coffee & cake voucher yesterday. It's the forth one I've done and I'm not that impressed with JL cafe, to be honest. The mocha tasted powdery, although the latte & teas have been fine. The cheesecake was tasty, but the cakes have been a bit on the dry side and the service was worse than M&S cafe (I used to work there, so I'm allowed to moan about them!). I wouldn't bother buying any food from the cafe. I have wandered round the shop afterwards but not been tempted to buy anything yet.freespirit66 wrote: »Evening, blimey its quiet on here tonighti have been trying decopatch today (one of DS challenges) and im not sure if i like it or not????
Ha that is funny, PRINCESSKITTY found the same one in a charity shop as well, that would be lovely. I am glad today went well and no hanging about at the hospital, it takes it out of you when you are just waiting and waiting x
I quite enjoyed decopatch. I tried it at a craft show and it was fun.
Had yet another bird in the chimney yesterday. A robin this time. That's 2 within the month here and my neighbour had one come down a couple of weeks ago too. What's wrong with them this year?!?
Christmas wrapping paper-try halfcost. They've got a meerkat christmas one.
Oh, almost forgot. Zavvi have some nice jewellery in the outlet section. There's a silver plated brooch for £4 and some lovely rings. Ok, more fashion stuff as it's just plated, but a good price and cashback through TCB/Quidco too.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I didn't see the wrapping paper, but got some shopping bags (the fabric ones in a pouch that you can keep in your handbag) for 50p (less with family card) as I thought I could use those to put pressies in-wrapped up-and it's a bit prettier than a normal supermarket carrier. They are plain, but come in many colours.
I love Ikea. They had some nice duvet sets in there and I think the king size ones (and doubles?) come with 4 pillowcases, which is great.
LOVE that quote, OMO. Had me giggling out loud. :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
