Thats an excellent suggestion doing a plan then little bit at a time. (in my head I am totally seeing a plan like those on ground force!)
Our garden is just over an acre and a third with a stream through the middle, we do it in cycles.... Stream needs doing yearly but then we do a flower bed a year, so each year the garden only looks good if you look at one section. Basically it's just too big, next door used to have a full time gardener, and still the bottom section they just let go wild, (we actually saw some deer in there!), we just have usgardens are full time jobs so quickly they go crazy.
We're a big fan of those bags of wild flower seeds, allows for the wild crazyness but keeps it pretty cottage gardeny

:hello:
Been so busy the past couple of days I have only just managed to catch up on what I have missed!
OMO the quotes make me chuckle! You are also making me feel bad as I haven't got back on to de-cluttering again yet, although it does need!! Hopefully time will allow over the Easter Weekend and I can drag OH in to helping
Chrissy fantastic bargin THUMBS UP!!
Freespirit I would make a list/draw a plan and just work through it a little task at a time so that it doesn't get on top of you and it will be enjoyable rather than a chore.
Welcome Sammy
I have made yet another scarf and am half way through the headband. Each scarf has a headband to go with it, just need to get buttons/flowers for some. I have 3 more to make, and I have basically got the wool now for them all. These will then go away in to the Christmas stash. I also made use of the Body shop deal and got £95 worth of goodies for £45 again in to the Chirstmas (and one is for birthday) stash - if I have already mentioned this last week I apologise I have a brain like a seive sometimescan age be the excuse at 23?
Right popping off for now, will try and catch up again soon.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Hi,
I followed last years thread but didn't post too much was thankful for all the ideas.
Got thinking last night about xmas!!, did my dad a hamper full of his fave food last year so thought I would do it for my mum and 2 sisters to. Budget about £10-£15 each and max (ish) £1 each item.. Now my one sister will be easy to buy for as im doing a pamper one so ideas are: body scrub, wine (small) chocolate, flannel, hair/face mask. other sister bit more difficult -- maybe just a mix of what she likes..fave magazine, she likes miniature things!! arhg dont know same with mum , dad food or novelty hamper.
So looking for a few more ideas and where I can purchase a basket type thing to put 10 to 15 items in. Will look at £ land/world 99p shop, b and m, home bargains etc,

I need to explode this somewhere I'll post properly after I promise....
I'm applying for a job that everyone thinks I would be perfect for, but I'm not sure it is what I want to do. It would involve so much travelling, it is a extra 12 hours on top of my current contract, but the location is not what I'm after. I'd have to travel for nearly two hours there and back.
Dilemma....
I'll apply anyway after all it's only a matter of sending an email.0 -

If you won't be happy doing the travelling ect it isn't worth it as there is no point being unhappy in the job you do!! Although, if you are a little on the fence and want some more info no harm in applying and you always have the option to turn it down if you get offered it and it definatly isn't what you want
BarginBunny I need to find some baskets/boxes too! I know in places like 'card factory' they have boxes and 'the works' might have baskets but not sure how much - if you find a bargin let me me
Sounds like you are getting organised though. While the body shop offer is on you could look there for some bits? If you go to sale items too!! I think boots & superdrug had 3for2 offers on minatures the other day when I was in there so worth checking.
I found some good deals on ebay for bathbombs and things which could be worth a trawl through!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

 evening everyone I hope you've had a lovely day
I find it very hard to keep up with the thread (am I the only one that struggles lol) but I try to pop in with hugs for those who need it x
Butlins was wonderful we had a ball and we are going back next year
On Wednesday it's my cousin's 2nd birthday and oh how I love shopping for herthis lovely lot cost me around £15 and I know she's going to be so very pleased.
It's my birthday on Sunday and I'm hoping OH has come through for me. I'm still waiting for a mother's day card  :rotfl:
No Christmas shopping here. I've not really thought about it. I'm trying to not go overboard like I did last year and really think about the toys that Thomas would benefit from and I've definitely not thought about what I'll get for everyone else!Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Evening all, been a while since I posted as I'm just always lurking and reading what everyone else has written instead. It's my DD's 5th birthday on the 30th and I've got her a few bits but she's so difficult to buy for at the moment. She barely plays with toys and just likes going on her tablet, reading or watching DVDs. I've got her 4 DVD's (2 of which were free with the disneymovierewards), a blow up chair for her room, some craft sets and a couple of books. It's not much at all but as she got loads for Christmas she's not wanted anything else. Might just stick some money into her savings account until she wants something instead.
I've been so busy lately planning and organising myself for Christmas this year. I've been printing off gift tags, finding cool crafts to do and making lists for this and that. I'm hoping i'm in complete control this year and can make sure I'm not buying anything Christmas related from Mid November onwards (except food and the odd half price terrys choc orange :rotfl:) Ordered some new shelving for the store room so I can take back control of it! there are christmas decorations in boxes everywhere and cards/presents bought in the sales in bags so I will organise those and get it all sorted! I just shut the door on it all at the moment
Hope everyone is well! DD has nits and it's making me itch like mad thinking about it, so I am off for a shower and a good head scrub! xx
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

OMO, that quote is on my bedroom wall, a present from DB and SIL last Christmas, still makes me smile.

Fave Cous came yesterday and we ordered her the Bayliss and Harding things from Debenh*ms, too, so although I spent, it was her money, good feeling. We are going to have a day out together on Thursday, visiting 2 lake district garden centres, and eating afternoon teas, I wish I were rich. (actually no I don't, as then I might not have met all my lovely cyberfriends on here.). Off to peg washing out, then coffee.
MRSINVISIBLE oh thankyou so much for the advice, that is a great idea, will work on that, ooh garden centres, cream teas, blissThats an excellent suggestion doing a plan then little bit at a time. (in my head I am totally seeing a plan like those on ground force!)
