Freespirit, they don't get in your hair, (that's nits, not bats) but the bottom of the garden is a great place for the bat house.
Glad your redecorating is nearly done. and OMO, matching coathangers, how posh, no wonder DS wants the doors off so everyone can see them.
Nanamia, glad the posh wardrobes are complete, piccies soon, please.
JJ hope tomorrow goes well and you get resolution, you are so strong and positive, you shame me.
I had my pee speed test yesterday-- I know you are all agog with interest (lol) and I passed it (I think its funny, any way) at my age you get over being embarrassed.
Now, I need to go and stroke my new greenhouse and tell it how lovely it is xxxxx

    Hi all!

Been AWOL for a while and far too much gossip to catch up on here so I'm even going to try, sorry! Happy birthday to those I've missed, congratulations to any wonderful events that have happened and hugs to anyone who needs one.

Christmas related news: Did I tell you I'd visited a Christmas shop whilst we were away in Scotland? Couldn't resist! Bought a couple of robin decs (searched everywhere for nice ones last year without success) one for me and one for my bessie. The saying goes that when you see a robin someone in heaven is looking over you. She always finds Christmas hard and I think this year will be tough for me too. Also bought a wooden Christmas wall dec and some snowmen glass head bottle toppers.
SIL won a 3 Christmas wine glass shaped, painted candle holder set on a raffle this week and has given it to me (along with a bottle of Disaronno - not sure that will last til xmas though ;) ) They're a bit ornate for me but I think they'll make a great table centrepiece and I can theme my dining table around them.

Other news: Harley kitten is still missing. Been 6 weeks now so have given up all hope of his return. I'm having to work all weekend (on call from home at least) so can't go out anywhere over the Easter weekend - I can guarantee a very sunny weekend due to this ;). We've managed to save enough money now to start on the home improvements - probably July before work starts.

Gosh I'm waffling here! Off to do some work.

  • Evening all :)

Got the xmas bug today so I thought i'd take a look in B and M. I only bought one item for my sisters hamper she likes Yankee Candles so I thought i'd have a sniff of there own similar types and was pleasantly suprised!, 99p for a small jar with lid and smells exactly like clean cotton, so happy with that.

I'm just looking around for ideas at the moment. Went into poundworld a few days ago and saw a pack of three microfiber flanels so i might go back to get them.also looking to get novelty reusable bags, chocolate and tea bags!!

Sorry to hear Harley kitten is missing. Don't give up hope, though. I hear stories about cats that have been missing for months and even years and they find their way home. Have you posted notices online and in your local vets?

Freespirit-bats don't get caught in your hair! Who told you that??? They have very good sonar and can change direction very, very quickly. I'd love to have a bat box in our garden but it's not suitable for them. I'm sure your bat box will come with info, but this may help you too. http://www.bats.org.uk/pages/bat_boxes.html

Evening everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much this past week but life has got in the road a bit and not had much time online. Don't hold out much hope of catching up with all the posts I've missed but will try to keep up from now on.

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the holiday weekend.

    Take care

Evening everyone, i had a lovely time at the seaside, not many people there :) i hate packed places! Bit of a chilly wind but just lovely we both felt so calm and relaxed as soon as we saw the sea and parked up, dog was surprisingly good with the waves (he is a big wuss) we had a picnic then walked the dog then just sat in the car with the breeze blowing in watching the sea, haha i know i am definitely old as i said to DD1 'oh look they have benches now on the beach dotted along they never used to' DD1 replied mum you probably didnt need them when you were younger or even noticed them' True Dat :D That was the first day out/trip out of the house other than food shopping since we went to Birmingham Christmas Market, how sad is that?? Still have my Harry Potter Studio tour in May :D:D

Hello you lovely lot. No excuses for not being around more regularly other than blooming life getting in the way! I haven't a hope of catching up although have read back a little. I've missed my daily fix and vow to be a more active group member from now on :)
Freespirit woo hoo go you Sis, can't wait to see some photos of the lounge :) You've done so well. I'm very jealous of your trip to the seaside tomorrow. I hope you all have a wonderful time :) Even hearing seagulls on tv calms me down and improves my mood :) I was definitely not meant to live as inland as I do xxx
In the house of Nan it's been crazy, even crazier than normal. The dream wardrobes are now complete and today I was able to start filling them :) Who'd have thought I could be that thrilled with them (except Linky !) My house needs a thorough sort from top to bottom but easy does it. Reclaiming the rooms and getting more organised. Slowly does it so as not to alarm DH :) Will sort a few photos of the wardrobe tomorrow xxx
    Night night xxx

NANAMIA lovely to have you back we have missed you, yep as soon as its all back together i will post before and after pics, fab news your wardrobes are finished that was quick! How are the walls going? And the garden fence? The seaside was so relaxing it was lovely thankyou :)

Morning, bee reading but not posting. Nothing much happening here. Money worries still getting me down. It's never ending.

Had a nice day with the kids yesterday at the science centre. My sister works there so gets us free passes. Went early and spent almost all day there. The weather has been good too, so all 3 have spent the days in the garden. It's not so nice today, so not sure what to do.
