Hope all those with pets are feeling better - I have 2 pooches - one is almost 14 Bruno my JRT, and then the newest member is Mabel - shes 4 we think, and shes a terrier crossbread about small staffy size - she was left tied up outside my work last February - after arguing with the RSPCA for over an hour, at closing time at 10pm, in -2, starved, flea infested, missing 90% of her fur and utterly petrified

.........she came straight in my house, got showered, de-fleaed, fed a decent meal and curled up in front of the gas fire, and shes been there ever since. We did think she had a medical condition as our area isn't particularly well off so we thought they couldn't afford treatment
Happy to say she is now healthy, her hair grew back within about a week or so, she weighed just 3.8kg when we got her and shes now nearer to 9kg and she gets on with Bruno but hes not allowed on sofas or she growls......we are animal mad in this house...

Anyway I got marginally closer to doing some Christmas preparation by putting the £30 into my credit union account.....I don't really have storage space to start buying things at the minute so I am focusing more on the saving money aspect of it. These next 3 months are the birthday months though for me - my son is in May (10), then June is my OH, then July is my daughters (4) - then Ive nothing until September.
I have decided I think my OH main present will be an iPad.....our game do them cheapily second hand so I think one of them - otherwise it will be something camera related but he has said he wants a camera bag but I think that's more a birthday gift for him.

  • Runs in..........................throws eggs around.......... hope all is well and those who aren't get better soon.

Just got back from another expensive trip to town with my girls.. though they persuaded me to buy myself a new top and not them :O also grabbed one of the large cups of pic and mix from wilkos (half price atm) full of mini eggs todo our nests and easter cake with.. weighed it when i got home and theres 700g of mini eggs for £1.99 .. would have been nearer £10 for that amount if i had bought the bags. :D

Got tonnes to do the next few weeks. Dh is in colchester this week training some dr's, admin peeps to use software and do some repairs or sumfink lol He's home thursday i think then on call all over easter. roll on the 28th when he's off for a week well 10 days cause of bank holidays.. We shall attack the jungle that is my back garden then!

    Xmas Saver!

    Good Evening.

I have been a tad un-MSE today. But then I also realised I am a tad OCD as well. ( yes I can hear you laughing and saying ' I could of told her that in 2012 :rotfl: ' )

Yesterday I decided ds didn't have enough hanging space in his wardrobe. It's a meter wide, so not small, but just not big enough.
I decided to double his hanging space by dismantling the thing and rebuilding it. ( on my own  ). I took out the top shelve, put the rail higher up and hung another rail underneath. It had to be dismantled to get the shelve out. As I was just finishing ds came home from football and said he preferred it without the door, as he can't open on of them fully because his fishing rods are in the way.

Today I went to Ikea ( I would so happily live in that shop). Only went there as dd got an insurance cheque and wanted to hit Primark. I was just going for a stroll round. I bought 68 matching black hangers to make his wardrobe look tidy.

It does look very smart, and I have decided when I am next there to buy some more so all our clothes have matching hangers.

But really !! Matching hangers :o

I also made a big decision today. Next year I am not buying presents in the January sale. I will get both the kids an aftershave/perfume set, but that is it. Storing it is not easy here, and I keep tidying it all up trying to make it look better. I just can't be doing that all year.

This Christmas Fingers will be 2 so hopefully his gifts will be getting smaller after that. It is his presents that I find hard to hide in a tidy manner.

Hope everyone else has had a good day.

Evening everyone, just two more coats of a very tiny bit tomorrow and day after and apart from four cupboard doors the shelving will all be finished :T:T the doors are a bit awkward i have to unscrew fancy hinges on them all then try and take out the middle bits (like hardboard mesh) paint then put them alltogether again and rehang them, the two walls wont take long to do either, but tomorrow DD1 is taking me and the dog to the seaside for a good old walk along the seafront and some fresh air, i have not been for years and we want to see what the dog thinks of the sea haha

Hello you lovely lot. No excuses for not being around more regularly other than blooming life getting in the way! I haven't a hope of catching up although have read back a little. I've missed my daily fix and vow to be a more active group member from now on :)
Freespirit woo hoo go you Sis, can't wait to see some photos of the lounge :) You've done so well. I'm very jealous of your trip to the seaside tomorrow. I hope you all have a wonderful time :) Even hearing seagulls on tv calms me down and improves my mood :) I was definitely not meant to live as inland as I do xxx
My festive princess wooo get you! exciting times ahead! hope the garden make over started well today! was a good day weather wise up here, hope it was in your neck of the woods :) Kick !!! on Thursday I've got everything crossed they come up with a plan xxx
Linky hahaha! I chuckled away to myself reading your post today :) I'm wondering if a little of your organisation is finally rubbing off on me. I too bought coat hangers to match. But wooden ones, although typical me I've not opened them yet!!! xxx

Hugs to you all, sorry I've not caught up but thought if I waited till I had it'd take forever.

In the house of Nan it's been crazy, even crazier than normal. The dream wardrobes are now complete and today I was able to start filling them :) Who'd have thought I could be that thrilled with them (except Linky !) My house needs a thorough sort from top to bottom but easy does it. Reclaiming the rooms and getting more organised. Slowly does it so as not to alarm DH :) Will sort a few photos of the wardrobe tomorrow xxx

    Night night xxx
