    Hi all,

Ruth honey, pixtotts & freespirit, thanks. Lots of people keep telling me about long lost kitties suddenly just returning home. We've put up posters, leafletted the local area, contacted vets/rspca/cpl. Not a single reported sighting:( I fear the worst to be honest after so long.

On a cheerier note, got a bonus in my pay packet today :T

Freespirit - i take my overtime as time off in lieu (can't tax that like they do overtime pay;)) We get 4hrs for a Sat/Sun/bank holiday for sitting at home waiting for a few emails so it's not too bad. Love my holidays :D

    Hi everyone

We're now almost sorted out from the burglary and nearly £500 poorer due to the excess on house and car. :(

I have a new laptop :j and we have an insurance giftcard for replacement of the other one that was stolen, but hubby's work has now issued him with one, so we don't actually need a further one anymore.

Since we've had to fork out money we weren't expecting a month before we are due to go on hol, I am thinking of saving the giftcard until Christmas and buying the kids their presents with it. There is no stipulation that we have to buy another laptop, just we have to buy the goods from the shop that the giftcard is for.

I popped in HB yesterday, they have small flexible trugs for 89p :j Thought they might be handy if anyone is wanting something to use as hampers later in the year. I found 'hamper' containers thin on the ground in the latter part of last year.

I also found a keepsake box in there for £1.99. It was on the shelf edge label as a wedding one, and has a 'weddingy' design on it of a heart, but no reason why it can't be re-purposed, so I bought it for DD to put in the items to go in her scrapbook, I mentioned on an earlier post.

Can I join you please?? I LOVE Christmas and am always shopping about throughout the year for it. I'm doing things different this year though as I'm saving throughout the year for different things so I'm in the Christmas mood everyday lol.
I'm doing the £1 a day challenge to have a bit extra by christmas, and also the Tesco saving stamp scheme which I've never done before. Have 4 of those cards running ATM.

ALso just ordered to pick up today a load of toys to put away for Christmas for my DC from argos. They have a great sale on ATM so got some Lego stuff etc and stocking fillers for them. Saved myself a good bit of money :T

Have read so much about people making hampers for people for Christmas, I'm thinking of doing the same for 2 people this year, and will start picking bits and pieces up from now on in.
