We were laughing at work today about how in years to come when we are all really old and FM or anyone of a similar age moans about getting court out in rain, we will go, ' RAIN, this isn't RAIN !! Now back in 2014 we had RAIN !!! You kids today don't know your born !!!'
:rotfl:
We have lost a fence panel in the wind. I have laid it down in next doors garden as the place is empty. Mia is not sure. She keeps going up to gap and looking but has not gone through it yet.
I know we have not had it as bad as some that have flooded, but I am tired of it now.:(0 -
My kitchen roof is leaking and so is my bedroom window.
I'm really sick of the rain now and the wind here is horrendous. There are trees down everywhere, took forever to get home from work. My bedroom is an attic conversion and it sounds like the tiles are going to come off the roof they're rattling that badly! Considering sleeping on the sofa where it's a little quieter. Ha ha.

Thank you everyone for the lovely words - My chest is feeling tight and breathing is getting a bit difficult, so think the panic attacks are on the way back in
One of my NYR was to re-connect with family, we used to be really close, but I'm struggling to get back on track. They have children and understandably 90% of their conversations are steered towards them, it gets a bit grating as it's not something we can really join in with. That said, I'm sure they feel our childless input is a bit on the dog-obsessed selfish side lol Things just seem a bit strained, and I'm not sure if I'm reading too much into comments, or just being a bit over-sensitive lol
To top it all off the rain has now caused a terrible layer of peeling paint and mould on the french window interior wallSeeing as the flat is only 4 years old, I'm quite miffed!

Todays challenges
The Hippocampus processes trauma memories by recycling the memory, mostly at night via dreams, which takes place over weeks or months. It then transfers the integrated stored memory to another part of the brain. High levels of stress hormones cause the hippocampus to shrink or under-develop, resulting in impaired function. The trauma memory therefore remains unprocessed, disintegrated and therefore feels 'current' rather than in the past

Freespirit sadly no. It is the house the other side. The couple that did a moonlight flit.
I haven't had my heating on this evening. It isn't that cold here and the wind seems to have dropped a bit.
But I have just looked the forecast and the rain is due again tomorrow.0 -

Arthien - sorry holt fleet is still open I think they were just thinking of those who had to travel further... and the traffic which was shocking! We had to fetch my dad from the airport this evening at half 4 the queue on the M5 for the Worcs junctions was backed up past Droitwich!
! glad we were going the opposite way!
msgigglewick - That must have been quite a shock!!! Hope getting it sorted goes smoothly x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
msgigglewick - how frightening that must have been for you. Hope you manage to sort it all out with your neighbours without too much hassle.
OMO - love the rain quote. :T
freespirit - hope you manage to get your boiler sorted. Not the ideal time for that to play silly beggers.
Relatively calm out there this morning (fingers crossed tightly) and its not raining/snowing atm. Might even try to get some washing hung out when it comes to a stop. We have lots of mould to deal with (in windows etc). I don't think drying clothes indoors helps with that. I usually put the dehumidifier on downstairs when the clothes are on the radiators but I still get the black stuff (yuk). Mind you when you think of the people who have been flooded - my mould pales into insignificance - my heart go out to them all.
Stay warm and safe everyone

Wow you can really natter! Taken ages to catch up...
Well have woken to blue sky here but not sure how long it will last. Still compared to many at least we're lucky and no major flooding.
Thought I had done really well in paying off my cc (in full) this month, meaning only cc s I have now are all interest free. But.....forgot I need to renew house insurance this week been in my lovely home 4 years on Valentines Day. So off to check go compare to find cheapest available.
Popped into town very quickly yesterday to meet eldest DS for lunch, can't remember when I was last there! Still it saves the pennies.
