It's been chilly but lovely here all day!
River has finally peaked...but apparently we're in for more rain and high winds tomorrow and the rest of the week. Next door actually had a couple trees down last night, one is lay on a barn conversion kind of thing that they are doing up luckily scaffolding was there and took the brunt of the blow only a couple broken tiles on the house. And the other hasn't fallen properly thank god! Or we'd be making a lot of insurance claims it's currently leaning over our fence wouldn't reach the house but was above 2 boats and a trailer! We've cleared them out from under it now. Waiting on the tree man to come sort it out. All the wind and rain has meant they have have just pulled up at the roots.
So been out doing all the outside jobs today, cleaned my windows, loaded up with wood. I am not going out there again! I am frozen!!

Oh PIXTOTTS hope you get it all sorted and there isnt anymore trees to come down! Apparently in the south where i live is one of the worst areas for building on flood plains??? Didnt realise that until read it yesterday, unbelievable!

    BLUEEYEDGIRL thankyou x

  • Evening all!

I'm sorry to have been so MIA, but in my defense it has been really mental here.

So on the 9th the oven blew up, it went flash and bang and tripped all the sockets in the house, so Dad freaked out and made us swear not to use it because Mum and I were quite happy to carry on using it til pay day (25th) then on the Monday I popped to the butchers and managed to somehow lose my card there, and plus on getting fish and chips in the evening I managed to get a grease mark on my coat.

So then followed buying a second hand cooker (gas this time Amey is not a fan let me tell you!) so Mum and Dad went to collect it, whilst I did an open to close, it was filthy I've spent about 12 hours cleaning it! and tbh we've only just started cooking in it and even then I am convinced I could carry on cleaning it for days.

Pigpen I'm sorry I'll send the bears Monday I promise and I'll throw in some goodies for being soo delayed.

But now I have some sort of exciting news in a way.

My trainee manager has been signed off as sick for the last couple of weeks. So my manager asked me to go to the trainee meeting instead of her, so I went, I had such a good time it wasn't as scary as I was expecting I had fun and made some friends. And it made me realise I want to make the step to trainee. So anyway I then see my manager the following day and he says he is pleased that I had such a good time and that I am feeling ready for the next step, because he isn't sure if our trainee will be coming back and if not I would be a strong contender for trainee manager!

So I am now majorly torn because I want her to come back, and I know my manager has offered her a supervisor role so there is less stress, but I think I'd like the chance to apply for trainee.I think I might apply for other shops trainee manager just to get some experience in applying.

ok thats me done caus I am about to lose my battery.

Love and hugs to all xxx

pigpen- ctrl z is what google suggested but it didn't work, i was in notes so whether that had something to do with it, my touchpad only has one clicker if that makes sense, in forever trying to right click on things as im so used to it

Part your index and middle finger and tap them on the touchpad together. If that doesn't work, check your 'trackpad' settings in System Preferences. I can use it in anything, including Notes. :)
  • Amey that sounds very promising :)
