Without gloating peeps (well maybe just a little lol) it's bright and sunny here at the moment although it did rain earlier while I was out with the dog. No doubt it'll rain again later on though - haven't had a single day without rain for weeks now.

OMO - it's really sad when friends that were so close gradually slip away. It does sound like the friendship may have run its course but I'm a great believer in fate and she's probably not what you need for the next period of your life and there's something new ahead for you. Hope you go out and have a lovely day without her as soon as the weather lets up too.

Mrs G - well done on the jumpers. I've just had four of the large Yankee Christmas candles and toppers delivered because they were a bargain. Think I'm going to give them as pre-Christmas presents to DDs at the beginning of December (and keep one for myself of course). :D

Mandco - thanks for the heads up on the boxes at Argos, off to have a look.

Nana - hope everyone is soon feeling much better.

Pixtotts - love the pictures. I'm a bit like you and fascinated by the higher water. We've got a huge lake locally and it's well over the surrounding paths and walkways at the moment. Must admit that I'd be terrified if I was in the path of the water though and really feel for those that have been flooded.

Sequeena - well done Thomas, really pleased for you and hope he sleeps through from now on.

Nothing much to report here - have recently insulated the wall in our bedroom (next door a little on the 'noisy' side lol) so that needs painting now but having a bit of a lazy day so lots of planning and not much action lol.

Have managed to pair my phone to hands free in the car this morning and add my phonebook to it so feeling like big chief proud-face at the mo!

Yesterday DGD (aged 4) said to DD2 'dead people go to heaven don't they?'. DD2 said yes so DGD said 'so when I die I'll go to heaven?' and again DD2 said yes. Then DGD said 'and heaven is way up in the sky behind the clouds isn't it?' and again DD2 said yes at which point DGD air punched at the sky and said 'yes! I can't wait!' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Thank You, I am hoping to go next Tuesday, weather permitting.

:rotfl: I would think next door would be noisy without a wall in the bedrooms :rotfl:

I can see the estate agent showing people round. This is the master bedroom. It appears much larger than it actually is, as that half belongs to next door. Not a set up for a prudish couple, but it seems to work. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Only kidding :D

:rotfl: Ds just phoned me and asked me to check eBay for ' iPhone with Flappy Birds '.
This is what I found

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.XiPhone+with+flappy+birds&_nkw=iPhone+with+flappy+birds&_sacat=0&_from=R40

We have Flappy birds on one phone and two iPads :rotfl:

We also have Cartoon HD, Cartoon World and Movie Planet. All these apps are no longer available.

We are sitting on a gold mine :rotfl:

FF I love your caption :D

Oh no DS said that it was probably going to be pulled the other day. Went to install it on Android phone today to pass the time whilst waiting for friends at hospital and realised it wasn't there :(. Oh well at least I have it on ipod.

Sorry I'm still in flood mode....

One of my friends just shared this on Facebook - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3tTM0z4OD4

It's aerial footage of Worcester flooded.

  • OMO - I like your hair colour. :) Sorry to hear that your friend has let you down yet again  Let her see that you are not sitting a home waiting for her to go on a shopping trip. Get shopping and have a fab time - you know we would all join you if we could ;) Love today's quote btw. :rotfl::rotfl:

Mrs M - so pleased you enjoyed the film.

All the pics of the floods are very scary. It is trying hard to snow here atm. Had a few bits this morning but then it turned to rain and washed it away but it seems to be lying just now.

No more progress on DS bedroom today as I was busy this morning and took friends to hospital this afternoon. DS is on holiday for the rest of the week so I am going to try and pin him down to find homes for the rest of the stuff that has to be sorted. Trying to find out what his plans are for the rest of the week and he told me he is free tomorrow, Thursday there is a training session at work and he doesn't want to miss it so he is going in (he is wanting to progress and is trying to show willing) and then of course on Friday it is something called Valentine's Day so he will be spending the day with his gf  (oh to be young again). Bet we are no further forward this time next week. :rotfl:

Well try to stay dry and safe everyone,

!!!!!! I now know why those bottles of XXL live were in the 99p shop. Instead of the vibrant red on the box I am a nice shade of ginger. :rotfl:
    Oh well it's different :rotfl:

Oh dear, bet that was unexpected :rotfl:

I hope everyone is managing to stay safe in this weather. It has flooded in parts where I live but I'm high on the mountain so not affected.

Thomas is still sleeping through which is great :) He went to bed a bit later last night, it was almost 11pm when he dropped off but he was up by 9:30am as usual.

I woke up not feeling great (mother nature) so my OH got up with Thomas. I fell asleep and must have been dead to the world. They'd been to the shop and taken the mastiff for a walk (a toddler and a massive dog in a muddy field can you imagine the state of them?) before I woke up again.

Thomas has been a sweetie today. He brought my his Jake and the Neverland pirates DVD and pointed to the TV. I said ok, say please and instead of signing it he made the sign on my face instead. Cracked me right up. He's so funny :)

Portage tomorrow, if she bothers turning up.

  • Hi Nana, DH is back to work on Monday :)

Work is sadly creeping in to the evenings and weekends again. We have a big event thing on etsy where we are trying to help each other improve our shops. I hope once it's over I can start getting my time back :)

    Finally caught up!
JJ hope you are ok and having lots of romantic walks :)
Nanamia. New Brighton is very close to us. Spend lots of time there in the Summer. Recently been taking DS to a big indoor play centre called Bubbles there fortnightly. Glad you enjoyed London too.
OMO Gas explosion sounds terrible! And such a shame when friends start to take you for granted. One of my BFFs has opened an amazing veggie restaurant recently and is working all hours but still makes time to visit. My other BF recently announced she is moving with her hubby abroad. She expected a big response but since she had her two children (eldest is 3 months older than my DS1) I hardly ever see her or hear from her. Only time she rings is when pushing a double buggy down the road on a weekday so I can't hear her. So it won't be any different with her living overseas. Sad but true.
Busy couple of weeks here. My boys' double christening went well. A cousin I haven't seen in years turned up. She and her brother stayed at our house lots as kids so its strange that I hardly know her now. However it turns out her niece is my niece's bff and I've seen her at BIL's house lots lol.
Also randomly had three nights out after none for ages. Just the way it worked out. DS1 (3 in May) seems touch wood to finally be sleeping all night. Baby has been sleeping through since he was about a month old- perhaps he's shamed his big bro ;-)
