Re Me :-
leg / knee / foot are fine, no visible bruising and I haven't had a fall or any kind of comedy injury in a week which is good.
My medical appointments last Thursday went well. I had my my LAST counselling session for now. Yeyyy!!!! :j
I am getting referred for something else (MEE? MEP? not sure) where you get 30 minutes counselling a fortnight or month if you need it.
The Dentist found I had a hole in my tooth and have to have a root canal filling and a crown. It's going to take about 3-4 sessions and has given me a temporary filling for now. I have booked the next dentist appointment for 13th Feb because I am on a half days hols anyway as I thought I would have a counselling session then (but now won't - Yeyyy)
My new wardrobes are still stunning and amazing and I cant stop smiling when I go in there, Its just so calm. But..... (sorry if sound ungrateful here) the rest of the house is in a bad way.
There are "things" everywhere in other rooms that were in the bedroom and I refuse to put back in there. I had a long day at work yesterday and again today, and so I am only fit for bath and bed and so the house can wait.
Its DHs birthday on Saturday and all his family are coming round for a buffet and a drink and so at least I have a target to get my finger out.
As a side issue DH and I had a major barney on Saturday morning. (once IKEA wardrobes etc picked up).
We filled my sons box room with the contents of our room (to give us a clear room to work with) and he moaned his bum off about some of the stuff I have kept.
He wanted me to get rid of a teaset which was my Nannas and later my Mums, which I will never do. Yep its probably totally worthless but I spent the 37 years I had with my Mum before she passed away, with it in my Mums display cabinet as her pride and joy. Ditto a tankard that was the last present I bought my Dad before he passed away when I was 13, and various other bits he wanted me to dispose of. He is also horrified I have the birthday card he bought me for my 21st etc.
I am not a hoarder and he is not heartless, its just he travels light and cant see why I want to hang onto some memories even though he is a kind and generous man and a good husband and Dad. But he just cant see the point of keeping anything much.
Anyway, THOSE things did find a home.
The specific things that havent yet found a home are :- A picnic basket full of xmas and bday pressies for 2014
Plus another 3 boxes full of xmas and bday pressies for 2014.
Plus some collectible new stuff I bought when my kids were both born for when they are older incuding some dated Wedgewood, Royal Mint Coin collections etc.
This is one instance where being organised and moneysaving has sort of backfired.
They WILL have a home before Sat, just not sure where. :rotfl:
xxxxAims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -

BBThree You are not the only one to keep items for sentimental reasons - I still have my first teddy bear.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Ds just decided to walk to the corner shop to get some sweets. He was gone 30 seconds when he knocked and said he was putting 2 pairs of trousers on as it's so cold. So he put another pair on and left again.
30 seconds later he's back knocking on the door. I get up (again !) and open the door.
'What now ?!!!' I moaned.
'My feet are cold, I forgot to put my shoes back on ! ' :rotfl:0 -
OMO - enjoy shopping trip with or without BFF - go girl :T Had to smile re DS's trip to sweet shop
caitlyn - hope you have a lovely time in Prague.
BBTHREE - collecting carpet today (hopefully)Know what you mean about not putting all the stuff back into new bedroom - don't know what we are going to do with it all. Surprising how much stuff was hidden in built in cupboards. On the dental front - I had my temporary crown fitted yesterday
. Not copying honest
Busy day today - helping friend this morning and then back home grab a sarnie and then we are going to collect carpet - providing that the room has been cleared and old carpet lifted whilst I'm out this morning.
Lots of rain through the night but seems to have eased a little bit now - probably wait for me going out later.

My teddy is the only thing that makes me feel better when I'm really poorlyeven though it's quite battered and squashed now but I'll never get rid of it.
OMO - priceless is all I can say
Wind was terrible all night but had a look this morning as I left for work and doesn't seem to have caused any extra damage. Still haven't repaired some things since the last bad weather as there doesn't seem much point atm. Hope everyone stays warm and dry today.0 -
mornig all
hope everyone stays safe if you are in the areas that seem to be suffering the continued bad weather.
the rule of clutter is you keep it if its useful, worth something or it gives you pleasure. the keepsakes you mention have sentimental valve and are obviously giving you pleasure via the memories they are bringing back so they are NOT CLUTTER.
got to get on with somethings so will wish everyone a good morning and get on.
BTW if anyone has a sanins local and need birthday badges they are on the shelf under the stationery bits and are reduced to 10p each they have birthday boy and girl ones in stock in ours - they are a nice badge with a pink or blue ribbon rosette round them

Freespirit Hope your OK. Was checking all night for your challenge update.
A house a couple of roads away has just exploded. My friend ( who I go Christmas shopping with) lives in the next road to me and she felt it. The back door of her house flew open and things shook. I didn't hear it, but I knew something major had happened because of the amount of sirens I could hear.
Dd has just phoned me and said it is bedlam at school. They are right by the house and loads of the younger kids are crying. She said the windows shook and nobody knew if it was another part if the school that had blown up. They school is very old and set in two buildings either side of a cul-de-sac. It used to be boys one side, girls the other.
ETA - someone must be hurt. I can hear the helicopter. It lands on the field of dd's school when anyone needs airlifting to hospital.
The wind didn't stop all night here. The fence panel were banging all night. And it's freezing again although the sky is very clear. I think we are due another large downpour later. But then I think nearly everywhere is due it at some point today.0 -
Omo, that sounds horrendous, i hope no one was hurt.

Sadly I can hear the helicopter landing at dd's school. It uses their field when anyone needs airlifting to hospital.
And there are more sirens coming this way.
It was a gas explosion.0
