Waitrose ordered stuffed turkey gone missing on 24th! Compensation?

We had another crimble dinner today - I cooked a turkey and roasties, etc.
It was rather good!

Then I realised I wasn't emotionally prepared to open the door to the delivery man, so I'm crying behind the sofa.

Since OH death I always now go for beef rib. I cook from scratch. My treat is turkey.

It does not matter what my Xmas plans were. Waitrose let me down. They failed to deliver my order. Not for them (or you) to speculate why or why not I ordered what I did order. They failed. End of story.

Not impressed with whole turkey offer for a number of reasons.

I can see why they don't ask for a deposit - but that would be more of a guarantee that you would get what you ordered. It would be a committent.

Was this from just eat ??? And the website was open good grief im feeling over emotional ... Did you get one for the children ...please tell me you thought of the children ! You must think of the children ! !!!

Phew sorry i think i got too emotional, venting there .. It was the thought of a free turkey not being "gobbled" up !!
