Just over two weeks left till we head back to Vegas. Flying 28th march from gatwick and back on the 2nd April.
Question for those of you who have stayed at the vdara -
Is it still the case with the vdara that I should tell the taxi driver no tunnel or freeway/take Las Vegas blvd to avoid getting long hauled or is there a better route?
Not picking up the car until Sunday lunchtime so there is no avoiding a cab journey.

    Thanks.

There's not that much difference but for Vdara, the shortest route would Swenson to Harmon rather than LVB.

I never say "no tunnel" and I've also never been tunnelled. But from the stories I've read, it's often first timers who act like it that get long hauled. As soon as the cabbie asks if I've been to Vegas before and I say yes, he goes the short way without me having to provide further directions. I wouldn't be that bothered if it happened though, I just want a hassle free journey rather than the cheapest possible price.

Cant help with the taxi but if you want to change the restaurant booking Casa di amore http://www.casadiamore.com/ gets good reviews , I think a few off here have been, its also on restaurant.com and offers a free limo

In terms of the Delta Flight and Lastminute.com
its not a case of they not got round to telling you..
    Its more a case of:
They will tell you last minute! haha ! boom boom! ;)

I had same situation back in 2011, booked with expedia for a Delta flight direct from Vegas to Ft Lauderdale...
Got a call 4 months before to say flight is cancelled and I would have to fly to Atlanta and then onto FLL, which means my 4 1/2hr flight will now be a total of 9hrs!

Without boring you all, we changed to a direct flight to Orlando without any additional charges! :D:D
Seems Delta cancel a few flights here and there in advance!

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

A party of 6 of us are flying to Vegas in June. 4 of us were initially ready to book, so we booked through Lastminute.com, and then a few weeks later the other 2 were ready to book so they booked through Ebookers.com.

We booked onto the exact same flights there and back. However, the 2 who booked on Ebookers.com have just had an email saying:

However, the rest of us who booked through Lastminute.com haven't received any such email. What might this mean?

    a) Lastminute just haven't got round to sending the email out yet?
    b) the flight isn't actually rescheduled and Ebookers are just trying to change the booking?

Would appreciate if anyone has any experience with this!

Is this the only route that Delta do to get back to LHR from Vegas?

(You are going West first-to go east:cool:)

I had a sort of similar thing a few years back-However I did book direct with the airline.
I rang the airline and got a free stop over in Paris from LAX. As there was another indirect route with a longer stopover.

If I were you I'd look at Delta's schedule that day and see if you can go at a later time from LAS via another airport?
Then get back to Lastminute and say that's the option you want.

Well this is fun, OH has the flu! Doctor and meds came to $250.
We haven't been out for 3 days and nights and she doesn't look any better yet.
We usually lose a night each trip because she doesn't travel well but this is something else.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Advice for anyone coming out in the near future, go the chemist and pay £10 for a flu shot. It is rife out here at the moment and over 250 people have died from it in Southern Nevade so far this year. Apparently it's the same strain as we have so you should be protected. I had mine a month ago fortunately or there would be 2 of us in bed

  • Not sure if the rates are decent or not, but might be good to someone :
    Vdara - 4th night free & $50 breakfast credit
