So sorry about the trip Stoneman and Tracy. I hope she is ok to travel and you get home swiftly and safely.

Gutted for you both after your rubbish meal at Oscars too, this trip's a write off by the sounds of it.:(

Have you got some EmergenC sachets to boost her up for the flight, at least to hopefully fend off any other germs on the flight?

I have got the spice market buffet groupon voucher and am looking for one more - is the Paris buffet good?

The Paris buffet is streets ahead of the Spice Market in choice and quality. We won't bother with the Spice Market even at half price it was so bad the last 3 times we were there.

Le Village is also in a really nice setting, looking like a French village, compared to the canteen feel of the Spice Market.

To be honest it was me reading the terms of the policy. But as we have a £99 excess, by the time I put in the claim for everything i would only get back about £250 anyway, so not worth our policy going up for the next few years.

I don't know who your policy is with, but travel insurance doesn't normally go up after a claim as there are very few companies that even ask if you have claimed in the past.

Tamiflu is the killer prescription. If anyone gets flu and your doctor prescribes it, don't bother with it. Costs about $150 and only makes you feel sick all the time. Has had zilch effect and the doctor wanted her to buy it again.

Sorry to hear that your trip hasn't been good.

I thought that tamiflu needs to be taken before symptons appear.

It can be used as a preventative but TBH it would be cheaper and more effective to have a shot.
It is commonly prescribed after symptoms become evident from what I have read. Some people have been known to have to pay $250 for it.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Our policy asked if we had made a claim in the last 5 years, that would indicate that they would load the policy if a claim had been made. I will look into it when we get home,

In that case I would do a quote when you get home with dummy details listing one medical claim and see what difference it makes to the premium compared to a quote without a claim.

Sorry you and Tracy have had such a torrid time Stoneman. I can't imagine anything much worse than that to be honest! :/

Was Tracy completely bedridden or have you managed to drag her down to the pool at all in that time?

It's of little consolation, but if I was to get ill away from home I suspect the Platinum is at least somewhere that would make me feel more comfortable (compared to other hotels.)

Hope you both have a safe flight back :)

I am looking at taking my partner to the Top of the World restaurant. If I goto restaurant.com I can buy a $25 voucher for $10 and can get 4 vouchers total ($100 for $40). If I do this would I be able to use all 4 vouchers for one meal and take $100 off the total bill?
