Are there any sites to get straight discount vouchers on stuff In Vegas rather than messing about with games, not fussed about Hotels as all booked, but eating, shops, attractions, trips/tours etc?

yes loads (not for free stuff which is what most are going for with MyVegas, etc) - there are some on the first page (destination coupons has stuff other than shopping) but if you google 'las vegas coupon' you will find plenty. some 2-for-1 buffet vouchers and the like.

Also the Las Vegas Advisor and American Casino Guide vouchers though they aren't free.

you use your Total Rewards card sort of like a Nectar or Tesco club card card...go to a restaurant or shop (or hotel or box office) and hand your card over with your ID as full or partial payment of whatever you want to use the points for. there are some restaurants where you cannot use them but you can most places within the group.
not to forget that you sometimes get a reduced price if you show your Total Rewards card too...

this may (or may not) be a list of places you can use it... i've not had chance to check but there is definitely a list out there (or there used to be):

    good point!

also, if you are staying at one of their properties you can usually charge pretty much anything from any of their other properties to your room (I am sure there are some exceptions) - then use any TR credits you have toward your bill (whatever it is made up of) when you check out...or the night before you check out you can go to the desk and ask to apply TR credits to your bill if you prefer not to have the faff in the morning and just use the check-out on the telly.

I am sure I said here once before that I had a massage and charged it to the room and later I went to the desk to clear it off of the room bill with TR credits and she only took about 1/2 the credits necessary to cover it...that was quite exciting!

Also sign up for Groupon Vegas and Living Social.

Rio has also appeared on Groupon yesterday, basically it's a half price offer for 2 with drinks. Think it's about $45 or so. It's a dinner buffet. Valid 90 days. I really hope this deal is still on for September!

Groupon's doing that weird thing again - they didn't highlight Rio for me, instead it was Spice Market...so it is worth having a look at the website too as they obviously highlight different things for different people.

I haven't looked at the LVA coupons for 2014 too closely yet but maybe should do...the drinks side of the buffet + drinks are lost on us but I can see how they are a good deal.

That said I have decided my Vegas cocktail next trip will be a Hurricane, having just discovered them. :)

I actually have no idea...a bartender at a restaurant made it for me and it was lovely...it was rum and fruit juice (pineapple I am sure) but googling it seems there are a number of variations.

I am terrible at ordering drinks from the cocktail waitresses, a lot of times because I don't know what to ask for...so this at least gives me an easy option. :)

made me smile cause I am exactly the same, so much so that I usually end up with vodka and coke :( . I have tried 2 or 3 from a list made up from various posts on here (some from stoneman, whats happened to him)) but the only one I can remember now is a cosmopolitan.

ferf & photome, I think the drinks ordering system at the Venetian would be good for you...you get various options on screen. Definitely better than asking a cocktail waitress what they have. I remember reading the cocktaildoll website, and the girl said it really annoyed her when folk say 'what beer do you have', wait for her to go through them all then ask for a bud.

We recently went to a Trader Vic's (in Dubai) and that was quite an extensive cocktail list. Bit too tropical for my taste, but I tasted my husband's gin sling then decided to get myself one. Not something I thought I would like. I suppose the free drinks are a good opportunity to try new drinks, but you have to have some ideas of what you want to try. I end up getting the same things all the time just for lack of ideas!
