I was going to say just that, Lesley...I love that self-ordering thing at Venetian...I would never ask what they have but I don't drink much so just have no real idea what to order most times...plus I hate waiting for a 'free' drink as I undoubtedly spend too much on whatever slot machine I am sitting at while waiting so it is not uncommon for me to get to our last day and realise I haven't had a single drink from a cocktail waitress. :)

if anyone happens to notice that they have announced new dates for Taylor Hicks would be grateful for a nudge...I was excited to see the notice of a year-long extension via Social Rewards but can't see anything else about it and we have agreed we'll book tickets when (if) they're available for April. I know with all the research everyone here does someone will stumble across it at some point and would be really happy for a heads-up. :)

Also sign up for Groupon Vegas and Living Social.

Rio has also appeared on Groupon yesterday, basically it's a half price offer for 2 with drinks. Think it's about $45 or so. It's a dinner buffet. Valid 90 days. I really hope this deal is still on for September!

And travelzoo. Sign up to the us newsletter.
I'll often post up deals on here from the email I get but worth having your own subscription I think.

We have booked to go to Las Vegas from 31st May to 12th June. We've got reward flights from Virgin so only had to pay the tax for flights.

We have been 4 times since 2000, staying at the Imperial Palace, Luxor, Caesars and Palazzo so a mixed bag of hotels but this is the first time we have gone for longer for 6 nights.

We like to shop, eat, drink and gamble on the slots and he likes to go for a few games in the poker rooms. We are not fussed about pools, spas or nightclubs.

He is nearly 40 and I'll be 51 when we go - if that matters?:rotfl:

My question is this - I have given us a £1000 budget for accommodation but can't decide on how to use it. What would you do? Budget for the first week and then splurge for the last 3 or 4 nights? Good room in a lesser hotel? Basic room in a fancy hotel?

I am normally very good at organising our holidays but I have got myself in a right muddle with this one! Your opinions are appreciated, thank you :)

How does this sound? First 2 nights at the Golden Nugget, tthen 6 nights at the Mirage and finishing off with 4 nights at the Vdara. Good? Bad? Ugly?
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!!

    Hi guys

We are leaving for vegas in the morning for 10 nights any last minute advice or tips any complete must dos or don't even bothers? Oh and is it ok to take coffee with us and can we take something for breakfast like belvetia biscuits as we're not always big eaters in the morning?

yes you can take coffee but bear in mind that most hotels in Vegas won't have a kettle or a coffee maker in the room - you can get a Hot Pot or pick up a coffee maker when you're there though (we do - WalMart - £9.97). You shouldn't have any issue taking biscuits.

If at all concerned have a look here

Try to see the Bellagio fountains early during your trip - that way if you think they are awesome you have plenty of time to head back for several more shows.

Have a fabulous trip and be sure to come back and tell us about it when you are home!
