The bonus comp nights cost less LP, but there are fewer available and the dates are very limited. I believe you can stack this with a standard comp night to get 2 nights free if the dates line up though.
I didn't know that you couldn't book 3 comped nights using 3 rewards, I seem to remember someone using the discount code to book 3 nights, isn't that similar?
I hadn't played MyVEGAS until dec last so hadn't paid much attention to posts0 -

Each reward has its own T&Cs, but this is generally the case from what I've read. The discount offers are usually per stay, where the comps are per night. You can combine different comp offers (so midweek, midweek bonus and weekend as an example) to get three nights total, but can't use the same offer three times.
But to be honest, I don't use room comps since they're always for basic rooms which I don't stay in (I'm MSE at home so I can splurge on holidays) so this is just from a lot of other forum reading.0 -

That all makes sense, yes they are for basic rooms, but a basic room for free and a $20 tip when you get there can change that (most of the time)0 -
Something must have changed since last year, as I was able to redeem my mirage tower suite in January- for a June stay. Then when I was there in June ii was able to use 4 rewards on top of the room. confused!0

the 2nd page of the reward will tell you how many you can use.
Mine says 7 rewards in 30 days, but have purchased chip packages in the past0 -
I was just reading some Vegas reviews and saw someone had used myvegas rewards and r.com. I'm not sure what r.com is or whether it's a voucher site or it's similar to myvegas. Could anyone from here please let me know so that I can look into it?
All booked up for September and want to get as much from rewards and vouchers as possible.
Thanks.0 -

Hello all, it's been ages since I've been around. Hope you're all well.
Re. MyVegas - Vanilla8 yes - it has changed unfortunatelyWhen it started, the number of comps were unlimited for everyone. Then they restricted it to three per person (I think this happened late 2012/early 2014 - before I got to redeem anything anyway ). But, you could buy a $5 chip package and get a fourth reward guaranteed (plus a 5th and 6th if you bought $99 and so on increasing to unlimited if you spent a silly amount). Then last April they changed everyone back to 3 rewards only - it is still possible to get extra rewards but 'they' wont say what the magic formula is - it's not reliant simply on chip purchases anymore).
They also used to have some spectacular rooms available - I spent lots of time drooling over players' pictures of the gorgeous suites at the Mirage!
LondonDreamer - you're right about the date of use. Room and show rewards can be purchased with loyalty points way ahead of 90 days before actual use but it's the date of use that counts towards your reward limit - so I could book a room and a show today for, say, 24th September, which would leave me with one other reward to use on my (sadly imaginary) September trip. However, if I was lucky enough to be going to Vegas in May as well, I'd be able to use another three rewards as this is well outside 30 days of the September trip."Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

as penny said...there are normally discount codes about as mentioned on the first page - if you are thinking about buying at some point and don't have a code it's worth googling or asking if there is a current code (many only last for a few days but then another one comes out)...each voucher will have a minimum spend and you can only use one voucher per restaurant per month (so you can't pay for your whole meal with several vouchers). Some will add a tip of 18-20% onto your bill automatically but in general you should tip on the full value. Some include alcohol in the minimum spend, some don't.
It's not a way to get a free meal but it can be a reasonable discount...some restaurants we've tried have been decent value with the voucher, would have been overpriced (to us) without.
There are good deals to be had on restaurant.com though several restaurants have dropped off recently I think.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
