Hi guys,
I was wondering whether anyone has any recommendations for a good spa on the strip? Ideally with reasonably priced treatments. I was loooking at the spa menu at the Qua Spa in Caesar's and it's $180 for a 50 min massage!!
We're going in a couple of weeks and thought a spa day would be a great way to spend an afternoon.0 -

Mind you, doesn't stop me checking every day anyway
Edit - taken from VA website:
"Please note, passengers flying in Economy after 01 April 2014 who made a confirmed booking before we announced our new advanced seat assignment policy on 16 December 2013, will still be allowed to request their preferred seats free of charge up to 60 days before departure, or after 01 April 336 days before departure."
Is it 60 or 90 days for Premium Economy? I only booked the other week if that makes a difference.0 -

It's 60 at the moment...and I read the current rules to say that after 1st April it will be anytime after you book again.
I've got 60 days before our April trip in my calendar as a reminder...I've just checked and no option to select seats now which is as it has been since we booked.

Now I'm confused. I'm sure it said 90 days when hubby booked but now I've looked at this and it looks like I can book in April which is more than 90 days until my August flight?
If you made a confirmed booking on or before 16 December, or you are in Upper Class, Premium Economy, a Flying Club Gold member or in Economy booked in Y or B class
Your flight departure date is on or before 31 March 2014
You may choose your seats free of charge 60 days prior to departure via manage my booking.
Your flight departure date is on or after 01 April 2014
If you already have a booking to fly in April or May, seats can be assigned free of charge 60 days before departure via manage my booking.
After 1 April, you can choose your seats free of charge 336 days in advance via manage my booking, or at the time you make your booking.0 -
I think after April you can book anytime...I thought it was 60 or 90 days when we booked our October flights not long ago too but it seems they have changed things several times over the last year or so. I noticed the new periods/dates a few weeks ago and added 60 days before our April flight and 1st April to my calendar to remember to go check.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

I shall have a countdown to April 1st! Not particularly looking forward to flying virgin but I assume premium economy us a bit better than economy on this route.0 -

Treatment prices are pretty outrageous in Vegas. Bally's was doing a 50 minute Swedish massage weekdays for $80 awhile back - it was a special posted in the lifts and I think on posters here and there through the property. Not sure if they are still doing it and Bally's probably isn't among the top spas in Vegas but I quite enjoyed the massage.
I normally watch Groupon and Living Social and book that way as the standard prices are just crazy. Tip is normally on full price of the treatment and some take it at the time you register at the spa on the day.
I don't spend any time in the spa other than waiting for a treatment so I can't really comment on the facilities of any of them. Qua (haven't been) is meant to be very nice though (prices probably reflect that)...they may have weekday specials available that aren't shown on their website.
Also maybe consider Golden Nugget...as it's downtown prices are likely to be less but I seem to recall thinking the spa there was pretty nice...but I go in and have a massage and shower and leave so I'm not likely the best judge of a place.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Just wondering why not play on double XP days ?0 -
I would not say double XP as time is on their side. Basically, LP are the key and the lower the amount of chips to gain them the better. From the guide :
Levels 30 – 57 = 11 spins at 200 earns 10 LP.
Levels 58 –139 = 22 spins at 200 earns 10 LP. The guide here says to switch to 6 spins at 1,000 to earn 10 LP.
Levels 140 - 1000 it now takes 8 spins instead of 6 at 1,000 to earn 10 LP.

3 days is fine for SF. Alcatraz tour was excellent. With more time we would also have done one of the self guided car excursions. Stay in the Fishermans Wharf area IMHO.
Thanks for the reply. At this moment I have only read a general guide book on SF, and I am not getting a major connection with the place yet. However, I am sure it is a fantastic place. Can I just ask why Fishermans Wharf area?
