    Thanks ferf.

I might need to rethink this flight as the connection on the return is only 50 mins. We might make it by the skin of our teeth, but I'm pretty sure the baggage wouldn't. As it is a Saturday flight landing here on Sunday there aren't many options. In fact that is the only option.

Has anyone connected through Detroit or Seattle? If so, how was immigration and are they easy to navigate?

Ferf, do you still have the link to the immigration wait times site? I factory restored my pc and forgot to save my bookmarks.

Connected through Seattle on way to Calgary a few years ago. Can't remember any issues or undue delays in the airport so immigration and security must've been fine. I'm notoriously impatient!

the ipad/mobile game is a separate game to the laptop/pc game

The LP's should sinc between them if you are logged into facebook, but your chip balances & levels will be different

I found the ipad version ok for a few days when you first install it as you could rack up a few thousand lp's quickly. The longer you play though the less 'worth it' it becomes due to the large gaps in level ups and difficulty in achieving the 'mystrip' challenges quickly enough, coupled with the lack of chips. I stick to the PC version now.

I use the photon app to play the PC version on iPad

I have connected through Seattle it is relatively straightforward, didnt take long and yes it is easy to navigate.

I havent been through Detroit but may do this year, from what I have read it is a new purpose built airport rather than lots of addons, therefore has loads of desks making it easy to get through customs and also easy to navigate

EDIT just seen you are returning with only a 50 minute window, I dont think that is a problem as long as you leave on time of course, should be plenty of time for luggage to arrive and I always think does it really matter on the way home, they will deliver to your house if it doesnt make it on that flight, but I have connected at JFK with a smaller window than that (because we were late leaving) on return and we all made it

That is how i see it and plan to use it.

If i run out of inclusive mins i can always go to skype calling instead.

Great, I might get a couple of these then - I do have a couple of the T-Mobile sims, one is yet to be registered, the other was registered on our last visit in Sept 2012, so there's a chance it'll be deactivated I guess?

The Three way sounds nice and simple, and I won't be using it to make many calls :)

If it were easy to just rack up LP's, then it would be easier for MGM to just hand you free rewards without doing anything....

The game is long, designed to be long, show enough interest in gambling for free (and get enticed into buying chips), should make the average player to this game want to gamble inside MGM properties..

I've been playing 1 year, I have the luxury of being able to play in work, as well as at home... I've learnt over time how the game works (ie: max bet wont always get you a win, sometimes simple low end spins of 1000 will keep the game going many hours and then run out of play chips, etc)
My level is 186, I currently have 475k LP's, but had used 620k LP's by the time we went to Vegas in May just gone....

Play the game, let autospin do its thing, join groups to collect free chips & LP's, and just play it when you can.. As said in my guide on page 1, its a patience game.
280k LP's = Dinner buffet for 2 at Bellagio... that's a loooooooooot of LP's, yet the value is worth $71.34
Yet 99k LP's can get you 1 midweek bonus night in the Aria worth $180......

I have a question for the Myvegas experts. I started playing yesterday and I'm not too sure what exactly I need to be doing. How many LPs should I be aiming for a day (I have a full time job so can't play all day!)? I've got 6k so far and I'm not going to Vegas until August so I'm hoping to have enough for more than a buffet.

I would not get too hung up on how many LP to collect per day. In theory you can collect 2,000 from game play, plus any from the hotels on the strip; levelling up; daily spin etc. I started aiming for the 2,000 and suddenly realised it was better to play when it fitted in with my life (ie it not a military exercise).

Since you are not going till August I would not worry about puzzles etc, and I would not play on double XP days. Simply follow your optimum bet

For me anything I get for free is absolutely fantastic and I thank my VEGAS for that. As a couple playing for 2 months we both have about 400k chips, with 1 account having 225k LPs and the other having 170k LPs.
  • Also thank you to everyone who contributes to this thread regularly as it really is a great read, and I hope you do not mind me asking a questions about San Francisco.

Basically, we have a flight to Vegas booked that gives us 2 weeks and 3 days, and we are thinking of having some time in San Francisco. Neither of us have been to SF, and flight seem to be about £150 retrun (with luggage), and I am just wondering if 3 full days would be enough for us to see the important sights and get a general feel for the place.
