We have done the return flight. I would politely suggest that it isn't the route that is the problem but the class of travel. We used Avios and Amex 2-4-1 and flew in club world, upstairs on the 747. The flight was more than pleasant and the jet lag minimised by being able to lie flat and sleep for most of the journey.
Looks to me like you're just showing off a bit.0 -

Re: Yankee candles, we prefer the ones from Bath and Body Works... we stocked upon our last trip, but when we got home, US Customs had forced open our bag on suspicion of unusual content - the candles!0

somehow it's not the same...I'm not sure how, it just isn't.
Hmmmm...does that mean that I'll have to take in a show whilst there, in order to test your theory?
I'm sure that I prefer the outdoor experience. Either way, I'll refrain from mentioning it to the partner...lest she forces me to go. I'll just take a discreet look as to what is on.0 -
As this is our first visit to the states we just wondered what sort of thing people bring back - l did hear that Yankee candles can be bought cheaply has anyone bought any and if so where did you get them?
hi im sure you ll enjoy it !!
My brother and i went to vegas july 2014 and it was our first time,
i brought back a las vegas mug, a towel,i know not very fancy but hey, but i also brought 2 plastic bottles prehaps a 1.25 leitre type size full of m&ms from the massive m&m store. If m&m's are your thing(or someone elses!) I would look at the m&m shop,
hope this helps!!0 -
We buy shoes, clothes, vitamins, foodstuff, electronic gadgets and laptops etc. Whatever we need, we price up at home and in Vegas. Vegas is usually cheaper.0

For the vast majority of us who travel cattle class, it is the route and the type of aircraft on the route
It just takes application and research, if people spent as much time on that as on where to stay/what to do/where to eat then most could have a lie flat bed.
I have not traveled anything less than Clubworld for as long as I can remember and never paid more than £550.
Amex and Tesco are your friend
BTW it is still hot in Clubworld, something that many complain about as BA planes do not have individual overhead controlsThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

It's not the middle ages for gods sake. They should be able to regulate the temperature to keep their passengers comfortable wherever they sit.

You can go up to a CC and ask for the temperature to be reduced, if they refuse ask to speak to the CSMThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot.
