When's the best time to book flights please? (yes I know - how long's a piece of string!) I've been looking on Sky scanner, but nothing much under £650 direct - is that the norm?.
Josie our flights into SFO and back from LAX were £570 in 2010.
As soon as you find a flight within your budget I would book and not check the price again!
If you want you could always wait till the flight 'sales' that should be next happening after xmas.
Or perhaps there will be some sales for Black Friday?0 -
Just been having a search for flights and interestingly there are return flights LGW to LAX for £421 next May. Found via Google flights
That has no bearing on availability or final price.
Though saying that, I'm flying in to SFO and out of LA for around £250... including hold luggage. For that, I have to endure a stopover in the USA of a couple of hours.
No longer available to purchase. Booked it a while ago.0 -

It is the price though and there is availability, i checked on Norwegian airs website, except for the optional baggage/ food upgrade that i posted0 -

I was agreeing with you. That the final price is quite different than what is indicated on the Google website.
In other words, you need to actually go to the booking site, rather than depend on what Google shows.0 -
I saw the US Airways flights ages ago for May/June very cheap to LA, but I have no idea of my dates for next year yet. I have looked up the Vegas flights a few times and they're £800 from Glasgow. Really don't want to be paying that. I can see us having a short break in Long Beach again now. Actually I quite liked LA. We did 2 nights Culver City on arrival, about 11 nights in Vegas, then on the way back 1 night in Long Beach. Culver City was very convenient for the interstate so we had a car and saw loads in a short time. Jet lag can be handy as you end up awake about 20 hours a day :rotfl:0

I'm currently looking at hotels for next summer (probably Monte Carlo).
Right now I've got two free nights there on offer via Mlife but only for dates up to the end of March. As of now, I can book our full 11 nights on a fully refundable rate for $871 in total. If I book this but then get a summer free nights offer from them, can I amend my booking to knock some paid nights off with them still honouring the room rate I'd be booking at today for the rest - or would I have to completely cancel my booking and start again? Thanks x"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Did it before checking rooms or having the car picked up at T5, sweated for a bit but Derek came through at the Platinum and the guy who garages our car is staying home over New Year so all good to go.
At least we will be having a quiet NYE, probably a few beers in Tuscany then to bed before midnight. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Jealous stoneman!... If we had enough holidays left we would've jumped on the BA offer
Have fun!
(didn't you switch your Virgin redemption to December? - presume this has overruled it!)
