I have recently booked for next june with thomascookairlines and delta as stopping over in ny first and was charged by both airlines to prebook my seats
Thomas cook charge but Delta dont. my guess is thomas cook charged you as you are flying on their ticket and you dont have a Delta flight re number so would be unable to log in to manage your booking on Delta website without it.
You may have been able to request the Delta re number from Thomas cook and then logged in yourself0 -
British Airways charge unless you have status or are travelling first class. It becomes free 24 hour before departure time. ((Actually 24 hour before the first departure on your booking, so if you have a connecting regional domestic flight you have a slight advantage.)
I knew that BA charged, my point is really that I am not sure if that is standard practice (on long haul) or not, my experience (which is limited) I have found more free seat reservations at time of booking than ones that charge.
Its a bit like resort fees though, once one does ....0 -
The Virgin links say you can book exit row seats at the same time as standard. It doesn't say that the cost of those is any different to other seats. Roll on 18th Nov so we can find out!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

I'm looking at booking a room for just one night next Summer on Thursday 4th June. I got an email from booking.com today about some discounted rates, I got looking at the Flamingo - do the below prices look decent?
I've never stayed at the Flamingo so not sure what the "going rate" is! Will be after a room with 2 separate beds. And ideally not a High Roller view, would rather be looking at the Strip!0 -
For the price of £157 a night (with a strikethrough) at Flamingo, I would expect to have included a free minibar, three meals a day, an escort at around 1am, a Segway for the long corridors, view of Bellagio fountains, and a hot tub on the balcony.illegitimi non carborundum0

rorylando45 - do you have a Total Rewards card from previous trips? Have you checked to see what rates are booking direct?
Without logging into TR or looking for any offers that are available to the general public, a Fab deluxe with 2 queens is $84 which is about £53 at current exchange rate...so same price as below before tax and resort fee...so no point in booking via a 3rd party that I can see? Where on earth they get the crossed through prices I have no idea.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
OK think I'll hold off then, thank you!
And no, I don't have a Total Rewards card. I know I should've got one as this will be my 6th trip by now, and I gamble hundred/thousands every time but I've just never got round to it grrr!0 -

Any recommendations? Want all inc insurance , lot pick up and a choice if possible?
ThanksHow about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
