Ady 87 - we too are flying AA in a fortnight and about 4 weeks age I logged onto seating and it let me choose all our 4 flights and I thought that was it.On Monday I thought I would have a little look to see wether it was a full flight and to my horror we had no seat assignment at all and there wasn't much left to choose from.OH rang AA (45 min wait) and she booked us seats ,not very good ones, and he had to pay for the seats on flight to and from Manchester yet when I had booked them on line at no point did it ask me for any payment.
We have always booked with Expedia and monies always have gone straight out of the bank.

    Hi Hovis,

Did you book with Expedia this time and if so, how soon did money leave the bank?

I booked our seats about 3 weeks ago and when I made this post a few days ago it was all still booked. Will check now and keep an eye on seats. Sounds terrible that, couldn't bare the thought of sitting alone for all of that. Are you going Sunday 9th too?

    Money still in my bank!!

Also guys, MyVegas. I have 62k points and my girlfriend has 40k points.

I've noticed Zarkana and Love tickets are 50k each which would leave us 20k to get a couple of Aria Five50 rewards. Which show would you recommend?

I notice Michael Jackson One at MB has basic tickets for $69.00 - I've heard some shows don't have a bad seat in the house. How do these fare for those that have seen the show?

Love is far better than Zarkana. Just my opinion.

    Hi Ady,
No OH has booked for the first time ever with Holiday Genie.I know there are some bad reviews out there about them but up to now everything has gone ok.They offer no resort fee which in itself is worth trying plus 2free buffets, our hotel of choice TI and flights which we had spent days trying to find flight that didn't entail 2/3 changes.
We actually go on the 10th which is late for us as this week is when we are usually there for Halloween.

My son is off to Vegas with his girlfriend on 11th Nov and they want to go to the Skywalk by helicopter, are they better to book in UK before they leave or in Vegas?
He has a Post office c/c so will get a good rate for the dollar on his card.

Thanks Pebbles. I think we will go for Love as it happens so this comment just cements that.

Just missed a call from my bank and waiting for them to call me back now. Wonder if its about these flights. This is the first time they have ever called me in 2 years of having an account!

    Currency :

Looking to change £3,500 in to dollars. I know most/all would not recommend taking it in cash but we did last year and it worked out well dividing up the cash in the safe for the daily budget. I can't get a Halifax Clarity card despite having my current account with them or I would explore that route.

My head may be turned by some sort of travel card if I can get a better rate than doing it for cash. Is anyone changing at the minute and how are you squeezing the most out of this depressing £ to $ rate?

    Thanks again to everyone.

I love Love (have seen it at least 3 times) and HATED Zarkana...but it's all relative, I'm sure there are people who will say the opposite.

We had good seats for MJ so can't comment on the cheap seats but for $69 I should think any of the seats in the theatre would be just fine.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We have changed cash a few times. Cosmo had the best rate last time, then IP/Quad/Linq not far behind.
