Booked up to go to Vegas for the first time. We are going 23rd December coming back 29th and will be staying at the Venetian.

The guide at the start has been a great help as have the few pages I have read here however I have a few questions...

Want to try the $20 trick and have seen people have had success at the Venetian. How busy is Vegas at Christmas? Too busy to try the trick or still worth a shot?

We would also like to do the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, are there any companies you can recommend and what prices should we expect to pay?

We would also like to go to a range and fire a gun. Is this something you can do or do you need to be a resident / have a permit? If anybody has done this and can recommend somewhere it would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

How do you get refunds on myVegas rewards? I have a Bellagio buffet pass that I didn't use and it expires in 48 days.

log in, got to rewards, then my purchases and there should be an option there

We did same dates at Venetian a few years ago. Vegas is always busy. We did the Scenic Airlines filght to Grand Canyon.

The Gun Store, and there a few others people here have tried and recommended....use the search of this and previous years threads.

We used Sundance Helicopters for the GC & Hoover Dam tour and it was amazing. We paid £256 each but we paid a little extra (included in my total) for an upgrade to a better helicopter with more visibility. We had a champagne picnic in the Canyon too.

It says that 'Purchased rewards are refundable prior to redemption for the loyalty point cost through the redemption period indicated or through the last date of availability / expiration date indicated on the reward, whichever comes first.'

Does this mean that when it expires, the points will be added back to my account automatically?

No, if you allow the reward to expire without cancelling, the points are lost

Guys, need advice.can't remember if I posted this here already and don't know how to search...!

2nd Oct - Ordered flights for 2 to Vegas on Expedia.

Get confirmations through immediately and can add all my passenger information and pick seats. Expedia gave me a ticket number because I couldn't see it with American Airlines.

Spoke to AA and they have me all good to go for 9th November.

No money has gone out of my bank. Expedia said AA take it. AA said Expedia take it.

When will this go out? Surely it leaves the bank before the trip and I would expect normally, sooner than 3 weeks after booking?
