  • Finally caved and started playing MyVegas on Friday. Got the best part of 10,000 worth of Loyalty Points already. This seems good, however I did use a load of links to get coins on a facebook page, so I expect I won't have enough coins for that sort of play going forward!

Curious though, the new station casino rewards are what appeals to me. Did I read somewhere correctly that they don't count towards what you use. I believe there's a limit to what you can redeem within a 30 day period, so if these don't count towards that it's good then?

They don't count towards the 3/30 day rule. It's 2/24 hours with he Statio s rewards.
  • Hi everyone. We're going to Vegas next year (2nd time) and looking to go on somewhere else for a week but not sure where. Our initial thoughts are New York. We loved Vegas when we last went, otherwise we like European cities such as Budapest, Prague and Riga. We plan to fly from Scotland via London on BA. Any suggestions?

You could fly to New York as you say, or Washington DC, or San Francisco.

Or how about renting a car and doing a short road trip from Las Vegas? Perhaps something like the start of this...

Fly out to your favourite Eastern European city from Scotland for a week, and get an ex-EU flight (cheap) back thru London on BA or VS.

  • Sorry, should have said that we won't drive. We'll have a look at Washington. San Francisco was on our list but BA don't seem to go there on a multi city booking.

I maybe wasn't clear. I was giving those as an example of places we like to get ideas for the US. We can go to Europe any time but have to save for America!

Froggits point was that the flight from Europe may be much cheaper than from the UK so you could do europe and the USA for less than the cost of USA alone

why does it have to be with BA

Although you maybe can't do San Francisco/Vegas combination with BA, you could always do an open jaw flight and get an cheap flight from SF to LV or vice versa.

Not sure when you plan to travel, or if you really need to fly with BA, but US Airways have flights from Glasgow to LAX next May or June for around £400. I know you won't be driving though, so not sure how you would feel about taking a flight/bus/tour or similar to get to Vegas.
  • We'd really like to see a couple of places in America. Then do the same in 3/4 years with Europe/UK in between.

Is it just BA and Virgin who fly to Vegas? I've heard/read bad things about Virgin planes.

Will google open jaw flight! We have two weeks in April with a slight flexibility if needed. Would have happily taken another flight from LAX as I'm getting £1k prices on flights just now.
