Day 2 - Collected a few of our buffet rewards from the various Mlife hotels.

    ...

Visited Toby Keith's I Love This Bar in Harrah's in the evening and really liked it. Loved drinking out of pickle jars...

thanks so much for the report, becksta! Really enjoyed reading it and it's helping to increase the excitement for our trip next month.

I am confused about picking up multiple MyVegas rewards at once...I think you may be the second person who mentioned it but I thought someone else (penny, maybe?) said that they are meant to be used within 24 hours or on the day they were collected...but if you were able to pick multiple ones up at once and use them other days we would love to do that.

Also, we love Toby Keith's and you did make this American giggle at the 'pickle jar' reference as we know them as Mason jars...my FIL loved drinking his beer out of a pickle jar too. ;)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

also on getting back from Rio there is a shuttle that goes to Bally's and one to Harrah's - unless they have changed that recently...

I've just checked on that date (9.30pm show) and can see the total price is $252.90 ($115 per ticket plus fees). Are you definately logged into the Cirque club? Once logged in have you selected the number of tickets from the dropdown (shown next to Cirque seasonal). Select Willcall and then Get Tickets.

Okay, so that was either me being stupid or the website being stupid. I'll blame the website :D

Thanks for your help - I've now booked our tickets. Yippee! (It's probably the only show my OH would go to watch ;) )

We redeemed at MC and MGM without issue as long as it was within 30 days. At both Mirage & NYNY when we asked if they could be loaded onto our mlife card they said we could only do that on the day we intended to use the reward. We found it strange that different properties would have different rules though.

I just kept wondering whether they previously had pickled onions or eggs in them. Made it really novel though and they lasted for ages! They also didn't appear to charge for Coke which gets a thumbs up from me as a non drinker :D

We didn't see any sign of the shuttle in all the time we were waiting for the taxi. I think we were just unlucky as it was the Saturday of Labor weekend.

i will ask again, if I dont take the oslo leg what will happen.

If i cancel it i assume there would be fees, so not turning up seems the best option, assuming bags are not checked through

Bags will never get checked through if you have a LHR-LGW transfer on your route.

You can't risk cancelling as by rights they could then reprice the fare, not turning up is relatively common and is why the airlines overbook flights. You won't get into any trouble unless you do this regularly ie monthly

What puzzles me is that there isn't a flight that starts in Oslo; usually you have to start outside the UK in order to get these low tax fares.

  • Glad you got it booked Photome! As others have said you will be absolutely fine just not turning up, as long as you don't do it all the time.

Agreed -I've been seeing this fare for a while starting in Oslo -seems to be some kind of fare glitch on London start (which looking at UKHD and the number of people who have called the airline is likely to be sorted sooner rather than later now)

Used myvegas reward for $50 bar credit at Times Square Duelling Pianos at NYNY. Was slightly disappointed by this. You have to stand unless you want to pay $25 admission charge to be seated at a table. The venue is very small and I didn't think the pianists were great singers but as the evening developed the atmosphere improved and people seemed to be loving it.

Thanks for the heads up - I had been considering using my points on this reward but think I will look for something different!
