We have stayed at Harrah's once and I wouldn't rush back. That was a Classic room, others might be better. The pool is pretty crap and just a step up from The Quad.0

lol, yeah it is a bit of a swing Lesley
I'm just glad we've got the chance to do one more trip... we probably won't be going next year
The pic below is the Harrahs room we have booked, so quite happy with that. It is billed as a High Roller (ie. view of the back - lol) Premium View King Room
edit: Changed to a link as weirdness was happening with quotes
Link to a picture of the room is here: https://www.totalrewards.com/images/reservations/las/rooms/HarrahsHiRoller.Suite3446_KingBed.jpg
We can get a "Classic King" at Rio, but (on the basis $20 trick is not guaranteed) we would be disappointed with the standard of that room and possibly the location - even though there is a shuttle
We can get the following for 4 nights total (exc. resort fee and tax):
Paris - Luxury 1 King Bed for $27 total --> stayed here, not fussed about returning - dull pool!
Rio - Classic King for free --> base room, off-strip - unsure
PH - Hollywood hip for $83 total --> I'd kill myself if I had to sit at this pool again
Flamingo - Fab deluxe --> unsure, but had the feeling the base rooms at Flamingo were a bit scabby?
Ballys - Indigo Tower Deluxe or Luxury --> we would have gone for this if we weren't moving to Platinum afterwards - to close, so not enough variety
Quad - Deluxe Luv Tub for free --> tho the name reminds me too much of a scene from Dumb and Dumber, I may have a look
Caesars - Roman Tower for $280 total --> hmm, best not
Opinions are always welcome though0 -
NVH what have you done to the thread, when I try to quote, your post without the pic , I get your post with the pic filling my screen and unable to reply, probably just my laptop tho.
I have stayed at Harrahs, rooms are smaller than most, but perfectly adequate, we had one room up from the basic but not sure what it was called, it had a very small balcony.
as has been said the pool is basic, and in the early oct when we went it was closed while most strip pools where still open , it was very warm still.
I would stay there again
EDIT
just read your other post, I would prob stay at Flamingo before Harrahs in a FAB deluxe, rooms are ok with fake wooden floors, and are bigger than Harrahs and of course the pool is way way better.
We were staying at Flamingo comped in a Fab deluxe for 5 nights but have now changed it to a GO room for $8 a night so $40 all in, as thought that was a better deal, the Go rooms are much better and are difficult to get with a $20 bribe0 -
I also get some weirdness when trying to reply to the last page of the thread.
I like the look of that Harrah's room...we only stayed there once years ago for one night and had a tiny room at the end of a corridor by the stairs...unfortunately that room put us off staying there but I would like to try again sometime.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Ferf its only this thread that the "weirdness" happens
NVH has some explaining to do lol0 -

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Whereabouts on the Mlife players club site can I locate if I have comp rooms or not.
Can find them on Bconnected and Total Rewards easily enough, unsure where they'll be on Mlife.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

It matters not if you try and fail, And fail, and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, And fail to try again.0 -
It's under "your offers" once you log in.
Most of mine come up as just being a special rate (which end up being beaten by some of the codes that float around anyway!)0 -

Ahhh, they are nothing to write home about, you're right much better offers out there. Thanks for responding.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

I'm in a bit of a quandry (already!), so, as ferf has pointed out before, CET is a funny old game!
Costs for just my TotalRewards Card:
Fab Deluxe = $16.80 (+ resort + taxes)
Go Deluxe King = $174.40 (+ resort + taxes)
Costs for my TotalRewards Card with wife as additional
Fab Deluxe = $0 (+ resort + taxes)
Go deluxe king = $210 (+ resort + taxes)
So cheaper room is cheaper with both of us, whilst more expensive room is cheaper with just me... very odd!
Given the choice of the above photome, for 4 nights, what would you do? I'm tempted to go for Fab Deluxe for free, and look at the eStandby upgrade option offered after booking (but never done that before)0
