the parking is right next door as well, so you don't have to muck about with shuttles, etc.
makes such a difference to start the holiday at the airport!
in terms of toiletries, we just pack a a couple of cheap toothbrushes which we put in the bin, and use travel-sized deodorants, etc. If you've any favourite toiletries which you can dispense, then get some the little screw-in tubs which you can put one-day's worth of gloop in
OH has also been known to put her straighteners in hand luggage!
Thanks - which parking option is that? I was looking at a package with Long Stay South included, I know I will have to take a bus back to the terminal with that (haven't flown from LGW for a while)!!0 -
Surely you asked your "booking buddy" if that was the level of service now offered by the Plat?
There is lots more to come, but I don't think I have reached the end of the problems so will save it all till later. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
So many different opinions on Spice Market Buffet these days.
Shame, it used to be so good.
Carnival World Buffet at Rio is on Groupon just now. $49.99 I think for 2 dinners and a bottle of wine. Regular price is $30.99 I think each, I think this might be a tad inflated by the wine being included, but still quite a good deal if you want the wine.0 -

we have parked in 2 different car parks with the Hilton park/fly... last time was in the Euro car park (?) which is right next door.
but even if it's the long stay south, this is just over the road and you don't need to get a shuttle: if you park in the first part of the car park ("car park A" I think it's called), then you can walk back out and across the road to the Hilton.
Even if "car park A" has a bollard in the way and says "full", you can still drive in, and there's bound to be a space in there (that's what we've done the previous few times!)
there never seem to be many great offers/discounts for the Hilton, but last time we got a night's stay in a double, 9days parking, evening meal, breakfast for £179 (April 2014).0 -

very good deal indeed, can thoroughly recommend it... and highly recommend making a restaurant reservation before/after as well, not the cheapest by any means, but amazing quality, unique... probably the best dining we've experienced in Vegas
we booked dinner for 530 and a 730 show... the 930 show would be my preferred choice, but we weren't sure we'd be able to stay up! (we tend to wake early and go to bed early)0 -
My husband has Social Rewards points missing when he has cashed them out into Total Rewards.
He has sent them an email to report it, including redemption code. Never heard a thing back, points never appeared.
Wammer, I know you were getting some issues resolved recently, do you perhaps have a contact at Social Rewards/Total Rewards?0 -

we tend to bring bottles that have one use left in them and bin them...we also tend to wear unmentionables that are on their last leg and bin them...
We like the restaurant downstairs too but we never do the buffet as it feels wrong to us with the land of buffets looming.
We did park once at the Europark next door and agree it's brilliant...we normally arrive after work so just take the train now.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
He seems to be hiding from me, I have already hauled the housekeeping supervisor and the duty manager up to my suite for a right chewing out.
There is lots more to come, but I don't think I have reached the end of the problems so will save it all till later.
I'm really sorry to hear all this - I know how much you guys like the place...sad...hopefully they make it right somehow.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
