We went to Charlie Palmer Steak twice and it was really good. Service was outstanding and portions were much larger than we were expecting.

Mon Ami Gabi was the worst we have ever experienced it and we have been there umpteen times. The crouton which should have been on top of the French Onion soup was a soggy mush in the bottom of the bowl and the soup wasn't very good. We had the two most expensive steaks on the menu and neither of them were good.
Tracy's Trout hahah was overcooked once at MAG but they couldn't have been better about it. 3 people came out to apologise, they admitted that it shouldn't have been sent out, new meal delivered within a couple of minutes and the whole bill taken care of
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Re the 150 errors on Social Rewards. I had a further email from them suggesting that it may be due to the videos only being for viewing by US residents and asking me to confirm if I was a US or UK resident.

It has only happened with the 2 newest videos so I hope this isn't the case with all new videos.

Does anyone know anything about the Lanai Suites at The Cosmo? Specifically how noisy they are. I like the look of them but "overlooking the Bamboo Pool" worries me a bit.

    Hi

I went on the high roller last night and timed it just right to see the bellagio fountains from the top of the ride. The video is amazing :D

  • Hi Roller watching Bellagio sounds amazing!

I am treating my husband to a trip to LV in Aug for his 40th. Got cheap VA flights. I've booked a Mirage Tower Suite for about £650 for 3 nights (2 weekend nights) as I wanted somewhere guaranteed special but I've got a couple of questions
    i) Should I book a Venetian King room - bit like a suite instead and save £300 and use this for spending money (Don't fancy Cosmo suites , defo don't like location of Aria, love Bellagio hotel but some rooms are looking dated

ii) Want a whistle stop helicopter tour over Grand Canyon (I know all about S rim vs W rim etc but still want to go) so do I book it from here before we go or wait until we get there?

I've been before and love it and knowI could do it much more on a budget but want something special for a special birthday.

    Thanks for any help

    CT :)

I have been in conversation with a guy from Social Rewards re not being able to view 2 of the videos. He has changed the Diana Ross one and that is now working. He is hoping to be able to change the NKOTB one.

I haven't stayed in them so can't comment from experience, but the Bamboo pool is the small "quiet" one. I would be worried if it was overlooking the main party pool, but would chance these if that's the view I wanted. I'd only stay there with a fountain view personally though, so not a room I've researched at all.

Thanks for this. :) We're starting the stay with a Fountain View suite but as the trip is a surprise for my boyfriend's 40th I want to upgrade to a more "special" room if possible for the last couple of nights.

The Cosmo website says the Bamboo Pool is open 8am-7pm, which doesn't seem too bad. I wonder how much noise might carry from Marquee or the noisier pools...?
