well they have now agreed to send a cheque to the value of the stolen money so that has restored my confidence in staying there

it's good that there was a receipt of what was in the purse when retrieved from the safe...without that I would assume you might be out of luck. Good that they are making it right.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thanks for this. :) We're starting the stay with a Fountain View suite but as the trip is a surprise for my boyfriend's 40th I want to upgrade to a more "special" room if possible for the last couple of nights.

The Cosmo website says the Bamboo Pool is open 8am-7pm, which doesn't seem too bad. I wonder how much noise might carry from Marquee or the noisier pools...?

Not much noise from other pools, although when I stayed we left the pool by 2pm as it was soooo hot!

60 days and about 5 hours until my flight, and I was able to reserve my seat on the Virgin Atlantic website today. :) I took the tip I read on here that the seats were available at 8am and it worked, so thank you to whoever that was! :D

I got the ones I wanted, which were the two on the back row in P/E, in the bubble.

Nice. We don't fly until 26th September and I was expecting to be 100 quid lighter next week when they start charging but appears they have scrapped thay idea! Woohoo 35 days to wait then :-)

I have been in conversation with a guy from Social Rewards re not being able to view 2 of the videos. He has changed the Diana Ross one and that is now working. He is hoping to be able to change the NKOTB one.

Thanks for looking into this Wammer :T , looks like you're getting this fixed for us!

Not that we're dying to watch Diana Ross and NKOTB, but there's points to be had!! :rotfl:

I've got 16000 points in my Total Rewards account now, and I've almost got 2000 ready to transfer, should be sometime next week. So all I need is another 2000 to get to my target of $200 to spend in Vegas. Hopefully hubby will have $200 too. We have about 10 or 11 weeks until we go.

I was looking at the Planet Ho buffet on Groupon last night but I'm thinking that although it's half price...it's one of the things I can use these points for so I might not bother. That and it gets some negative comments lately.

Last couple of times we tried the Spice Market buffet it was just plain awful. So bad that I wouldn't even have it at half price.

Off at the end of August into early September for our fourth trip...can't wait!

The strip was predictably heaving the last time we were there over the weekend so got my wife to agree to us staying in the Fremont on Saturday, then into Bally's Sunday and Monday (£24 a night with $20 food/drink credit!)

Also got my Groupons for Ketchup Burger and Fatburger...can't believe I'm doing another 'once in a lifetime' trip and I'm thinking of my belly!
